Food/Beverage: 10/10 Their food was great, and some of the best if not the best Gyro here in Mesquite. The Gyro had great flavor... and cooked just right. I enjoyed every dish. When the barbecue place we were bound for turned out to be out of barbecue, we turned back and ended up visiting here. It was... actually a lucky find, because we're not usually in this part of town. It was excellent, with a friendly owner on site with goodstories (it was a slow night). The server was attentive and prompt, and the food was excellent. The lamb souvlaki was tender,moist and well spiced, and served with a choice of potatoes, rice, or vegetables. The moussaka, instead of being served in alittle square, was served in a heated ceramic boat, and was also very good (a combination of the owner's mother's and aunt'srecipes...). The avgolemeno soup was unusual in that it had enough chicken to make it a substantial meal if one ordered a bowlinstead of a cup. The salad was fresh and with a good Greek dressing, including onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, and olive,and lettuce. The appetizer we ordered, a spicy feta spread, was indeed spicy, and unusual but very, very good, served withplenty of pita. All in all, a very good experience. We will return soon. Very good food and waitstaff. I had 3 appetizers and dessert: falafel, spanikopita, and Athenian Greek salad, and a... phylo-wrapped custard broiled and topped with honey. Great meal! Enough to share, but I was alone that evening. Read more
Very unhappy with my order. We paid $57 for the food pictured. Without a doubt the skinniest spanakopita I've ever seen. The $17... gyro meal is the biggest surprise. There was less than 2oz of meat and not even enough French fries to beef up the appearance offood! I figured for almost $9 the hummus appetizer would be more than 2 oz but I guess not. We order a lot of food, and for thisprice, the quantities we received is shameful. Read more
Best tasting authentic Greek food we've tried in Texas! Highly recommend. Gracious host - we enjoyed conversation with him... regarding the menu, and his story of moving to America. The pita bread was very fresh - not stale like at many places.Everything was also very flavorful. Many people came in for takeout, but eating in the dining room was a very fun experience. Read more
