Terrible, terrible, terrible! Back in the day, this was a go to catfish spot after church that we looked forward to. Today... however, that?s no reason I would EVER come back. The server was polite but slower than I think I?ve ever experienced. Hushpuppies- saturated with oil. Fries - cold & saturated with oil. Catfish ( if you can call it that) - thin, mushy& saturated withoil. Shrimp - saturated with oil. We couldn?t even finish our meals. This is insane for a 6$ box I?ve done been here a couple times ordering the same thing they have always put the fish in a... smaller box and filled it up this is new. like 7 pieces come on dawg that?s not it Bruh very disappointed!!!!!! Read more
The fish is the best I?ve tried since I moved to Texas this year. It?s seasoned perfectly. It?s so fresh. All the fish is good,... but I can?t stop eating the catfish nuggets the most! The oysters and hush puppies are also quite delicious! The salad bar isalways fresh. The place is clean. They even give you gloves to use the salad bar and have hand sanitizer everywhere. Considering how few customers we're there on a Friday at lunch time, the service was not quick at all. One piece of catfish... along with fries and access to a salad bar cost $7.99, which I guess is the going rate, but frankly I would have had a bettermeal if I just stayed and eaten at the Waterford at Mesquite. They have really good catfish on Fridays! All in all this was nota bad experience, it just wasn't necessarily a good experience. Read more
The food is over priced and it is not that good. The only reason I give it one star is because I cannot rate any lower. I will... say that the host was very rude as well. We were waiting for a while and she finally asked if table is fine? I said a boothplease (I have back issues) she said with an attitude there is none right now those people got the last one. I clearly saw manybooths there but just needed to be clean. I said okay. Wondering why she asked in the first place. As I was waiting a while forthe waitress I noticed the host quickly run to a booth and clean it for a couple. She then sat them there. I wonder if she wasbeing racist since her and I were not the same race and those people were her race. I was confused why she didn?t do that forme. Or I could have cleaned it if it was an issue. After I paid my sister asked for a to go tea since the waitress forgot tobring it. The host rolled her eyes and sighed and went to get it. Never going here again. The host being sour was probably themain reason but not the only since the food tastes off. I recommend people eat elsewhere. Normally I would be fine with a longwaiting period and understandable. This was my first time to visit; I was not impressed. It took a solid 7 minutes before anyone noticed we were standing there.... We were seated and then waited another several minutes to get a drink order. The server came back with hush puppies but toldus they ran out of butter. We decided to order catfish since that's why we came; the sign out front showed 3 big catfish piecesand fries and hush puppies for $6. Well, not true. It's a box deal and only available for takeout. So for 10 bucks I couldget one piece of catfish and fries. They were out of beans and rice, green beans, and salad, and a few other items so we had noother choices. The " salad bar" was awful. No salad, the options were pickles, peaches, potato salad and coleslaw ( both ofwhich tasted badly). The meal came, it was definitely not worth the money and the experience was disappointing to say theleast. Read more

If you're into old fashioned cooking and down home country style this is the place to go for your fish. The laid back atmosphere... is just the thing to feel at home. Go on the right night and you'll even have live entertainment along with the wonderful food. Can't wait for my next visit! Read more
