Awesome grilled oysters. Loved the seafood combo came with jambalaya, gumbo, red beans and rice. Also first time trying fried... crab claws, pretty good. Also the oyster shooter was good as well. The service was good, but this location is nothing like the Acme on Bourbon. The food was better there, but my party enjoyed... their food. Got the fish and shrimp platter, the seafood gumbo, some lemonade, and sweet tea. The lemonade was good, but thesweet tea was AMAZING. The fish was thin and hard on the edges, but the shrimp was good. The seafood gumbo had a funky taste toit. I mean extreme funkiness. The jambalaya was good when my niece got it, so I switched my gumbo out for it, and the batch Igot was burnt. Still tasted better than the seafood gumbo. The alligator bites were decent, kind of hard and tough. The parkingis very tight. The ponchartrain catfish was good with the cream sauce. Read more

Acme Oyster House was packed during our recent visit and I can see why. The grilled Oysters here were easily one of the best... things I ate in New Orleans! The Shrimp Etouffee was also good though a bit lite on the shrimp and rice. Good Service. 4.5 (5.0) Read more
I've been wanting to try Acme for a long time. I was thoroughly disappointed. I started with the charbroiled oysters. They... don't even cut the eye off of the shell. An oyster house should be smart enough to know how to do oysters properly. By notcutting the eye free before grilling it, the eye gets even harder to scrape off. For my entree, I ordered the hamburger steak.It had almost zero seasoning and it comes with yellow rice instead of mashed potatoes. It was horrible. I brought it home andfed it to the dogs. On a positive note, my date had the fried shrimp and fish platter. It came with french fries and hushpuppies. Everything was fried perfectly and seasoned just right. Passing through and wanted my husband to try oysters. Absolutely the best food I have had in a very long time. The grilled... oysters are life. Service was great, everything was great.
