Great atmosphere, good food. We really enjoyed it. Our waiter Mike was top notch. He went over and above to make us feel welcome... and to know exactly what we were looking for. The fried catfish was fantastic. The gumbo was, as well. The jambalaya wassomewhat dry, but they still get 5 stars for above on everything else. Don't miss this hidden little gem. Great Locals favorite near Buck Town . The waiter was exceptional with a full knowledge of the menu and very helpful on your... many choice options. Pictured was the eggplant Pontchartrain. Paired with a local brew ; Nola Blonde and of course bread andbutter. I will visit again. Read more

Took MIL for birthday dinner and all 3 of our dishes were yummy as usual!!! Eggplant sticks are a FAVORITE!! Hubby's pork chops... were perfect, MIL always gets the eggplant ponchartrain and it never disappoints, I tried the stuffed bell peppers and againYummy!!! Great atmosphere and super friendly people. Parking can be challenging and often you ended up parking in the middle of the... beautiful Bucktown neighborhood. Not many vegetarian options here. Mostly its fried food, so If you're looking for a healthyalternatives, you won't find it here. I believe their eggplant parmigiano is individually pan- fried or, it can be baked, if youask them. Having a friendly staff makes a huge difference if you have a special diet. Read more

This is a true neighborhood restaurant. Very little parking. Good NO type food. Red beans and rice etc. The waiter was great.... You will find locals not a tourist type restaurant. Read more
