Coming here for the first time and it was an experience. Here with a group and the server was awesome in keeping track of... everyone’s order as well as getting food and drinks to every one. I had the edamame and vegetable tempura and was satisfiedwith the portions. It made a meal worthwhile. The atmosphere is cozy no super dark and the sashimi bar looked pretty awesome. I've been eating at Sake Cafe for 15 years. And, when it comes to sushi, it needs to be fresh. Everyone knows that. I've gone to... places that have amazing tuna but occasionally, it tastes "off". Like, it's not bad, but not completely fresh. But, Sake Cafehas to have the most consistently fresh tuna of any restaurant I've eaten at. I can't honestly say it's the best tuna, but theunfaultering freshness day after day for a decade and a half says volumes. And I've recently started doing their Refrigerationrepairs, so trust me when I say, there's no tuna in their walk in Freezer. Read more
One of the absolute best sushi places in Metairie! High ceilings, great sushi chefs, flowing saki, and some absolutely delicious... rolls! Sushi bento box lunch. Quick service, good food, large portion for lunch. They charge a "non cash fee" or whatever it's called... despite NOT asking me how I would pay. I actually paid cash so I guess the server will lose the fee from her tip. Read more

Food & service has been great in the past. Had a recent negative experience with undercooked vegetable tempura (sweet potatoes... was cold in the middle) & soy sauce was spilled all over the plate. And noticed a surcharge (attached photo) for using my cardto pay - I didn't see this surcharge being disclosed beforehand - very disappointed. Read more
