We had bad experience with 2 restaurants that say they are Pet friendly but neither let us on their outside patio with the dog.... We went to Saltgrass and the experience was great. Victoria was super sweet and brought water for the puppy. The hostess wassuper nice as well. Very good experience. We will be back. Read more

The waiter was efficient, quick, polite, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was family friendly and "kicked up" above a regular... family restaurant. My steak was tough, though everyone else was satisfied with their food. Maybe I just got a tough steak ? Whoknows ? I'd go again just to see.???? So, you choose, but you should try this place. Had reservations here for Mother’s Day, we arrived and were seated immediately. Salad was fresh and delicious. The food took a... little while but it was Mother’s Day and busy. Our food comes out and I take one bite of my macaroni and cheese and noticeevery one to the left of us uncontrollably coughing. All the sudden it hit us and we as well were coughing, eyes watering andnose running. Everyone started running around like crazy most people evacuated the restaurant. We were told someone sprayedpepper spray inside the restaurant….We were then brought the check and boxes…. From what I got to taste the food was greatbut some accommodations should have been made instead of just giving us the bill and boxes after we made reservations andcouldn’t go anywhere else to enjoy a meal because it was Mother’s Day and everywhere was booked. We could have been offeredseating on the side of the restaurant that was not affected or something. I wanted to eat out, I didn’t want to eat at home.While I understand it was not the restaurant’s fault for what happened, I feel it was the restaurants responsibility toaccommodate people in some kids of way to make sure we had a good experience and enjoyed the food. Saltgrass in Metairie opened at 11 am. I purchased a meal (NY Strip, macaroni and salad) for myself and 3 soups. My mother is... currently in the hospital and she absolutely adores the potato soup with Saltgrass. I consumed my NY strip and macaroni earlierin the day and decided to save my Caesar salad as a evening snack. Upon taking several bites of my salad, towards the end, Inoticed there was a baby roach in the lettuce. I immediately stopped eating and contacted Saltgrass 3x. I spoke with a manager,Derrick. After explaining said situation, he placed me on hold and upon coming back to the line stated he checked the lettuceand there were no bugs. He then proceeded to offer another salad and appetizer complimentary on tomorrow. Being that I didn’thave a great experience with the previous salad, why would I want another? I was a manager at a hotel where I managed food andbeverage. The resolution offered and wording was unacceptable. Anyone who decides to eat here, please check your foodthoroughly! Read more
