First time having Filipino food and oh man I?m glad I chose this restaurant. Just like the name suggest, their menu is plain and... simple but that didn?t take away anything from how delicious the food was. I had the adobo pork, even tho I usually hate eatingthe fatty part of pork belly, the pork adobo was so good I ate the whole thing. Will definitely be returning. Just be aware, therestaurant is small and seats about 4 people, perfect place to come with one other person to dine in. Read more

The 5 star reviews for this place did not lie. Some of the best Filipino food I've had. Extremely fresh, food is clearly made to... order. Amazingly nice staff, a gentlemen named Jeff was particularly accommodating. I highly recommend this place. The porkAdobo and crispy heavenly pork were fantastic. The rice helps cut through the meat, which was stellar. Halo halo is topped witha generous amount of ube and ice cream, absolutely top tier. Pancit was well balanced and delicious. I will 100% be coming backin the future!! Read more

It?s truly plain and simpol with exceptional taste. The foods are delicious and just a right amount for the price. I like the... Caesar salad on the side with fried egg on top. The halo-halo is the best, what exactly I am looking for authenticity. I amsure the rest of other menu?s are all delicious and freshly made. I would definitely recommend this place. Call or orderbefore pick ups. This is the best Filipino food in central NJ. Keep up the good work and ?Mabuhay?. Read more

Opening relatively recently. It?s a new Filipino restaurant with much more authentic flavors especially if one considers... Jollibee a representative of Filipino food (it?s not? really it?s really Filipino McDonalds). Decent number of menu items. There is no dine in. Food the cooked/prepared on order. I had the Simpol Beef Mechado, Lumpia (8 pieces), and aHalo-Halo. Outside, it?s a really small parking lot and shared with several places there. Inside is nice and well lit. Thereis a paper menu taped inside the windows facing outside and a fry erase board on the inside with the menu and prices althoughsome items like the ube cookies and halo halo on listed on their own paper posters with the price. There are 5 or 6 seats towait for your food but you cannot dine in? there are no tables. I would recommend getting your food and parking in Lotte Marketto eat your food if you?re far from home. A lot of Filipino food tastes significantly better when eaten soon after being cookedespecially fried dishes. The Simpol Beef Mechado was very good. The beef is tender and the sauce is pleasant. Definitelyrecommend getting this dish. The lumpia is good but I?ve had better in Saigon restaurant in South Plainfield. It?s still asolid appetizer dish although the dipping sauce is a bit towards spicy than vinegar like in Vietnamese places. The Halo Halo isgood and one of the better Halo Halo I?ve had in the USA. Not quite as good as I?ve had in some places in the Philippines. Ido think the ice could be shaved down a bit more. Would definitely recommend getting food here but order ahead by phone or webfirst. Will try the Sisig, Adobo, and Crispy pork next time I order. Read more
