Alrighty, first off I am a hugeeee crab broil fan. I had a spot near my previous apartment in Brooklyn that was the best of the... best. Since moving to Florida about a year ago I haven't had a crab broil until coming here. I can assure you this place istop-notch! I genuinely thought I ordered more than I can finish but I shocked myself when I was digging in the bag looking formore food but it was gone LOL. I ordered: - Shrimp (head off) - Scallop - Dungeness Crab - 2x eggs - Potatoes & Corn - MildButter Garlic sauce This place is the definition of finger-licking good! The scallops were perfectly soft and tender. The crabwas hefty and the meat was absolutely delicious. I didn't even need to use the crab-cracking tool, I just went in with my barehands. My favorite part about eating here was the moment when I'd crack a crab leg and the meat would slide right out in onewhole piece. It's a delightful feeling of accomplishment for food lovers! On another note the service was great, the restaurantwas playing the best music, and the drinks were really good too. I was dancing in my seat while tearing up those crab legs. I must say service here on Thursday through Sunday is amazing but the rest of the week it?s terrible. The main manger on shift... looks like he rather stand around laughing instead of managing. I love this location. But be prepared to pay for parking. The staff is very helpful. I did make sure I got a groupon in advance... .Fyi you can't use more than one voucher per visit. I love the ambience I especially love the flavors of the food and thedifferent menu options. I honestly always go for the shrimp off head. I love the different crab options that they have. Very nice place. Not sure if all staff is as friendly and helpful as our waitress, but she was great. The food, is a strong... 4-star. Daytime, the place is even relatively quiet, with lowered down music - perfect for a slow-lunch with a company, if youwant to be able to talk between your bites. Definitely will be coming back again. There is pay by phone parking ($3/hr) located directly in front of the restaurant but if full, use the parking garage a block... away. It is actually cheaper if you do not have the Miami resident discount on pay by phone app. Phone service in therestaurant is not good so sit outside if you need to use your phone or be on the internet. It also was pretty cold inside sobring a sweater just in case. Saturday nights there is a dj (don't recommend if you want to have deep conversation) but themusic selection was good. As far as food, the Cajun fries were great. The steamed oysters were decent. I preferred the garlicbutter sauce over the crab du jour sauce (combo of all the sauces) but it wasn't bad either. I had the fish sliders (friedFlounder) and they were okay. For the price you get your money's worth. The waitress was sweet and had a nice personality. Thehost at the door (older man with glasses) was not that friendly. There were two empty tables outside & he told us one of themwas for larger sized parties only. I went back outside 5 minutes after being seated to use my phone and saw a party of twoseated at the table he just told us we couldn't sit at. When leaving, he walked right past without any acknowledgement at all.Don't know if he was having a bad day, but the interactions with the host is why I didn't rate 4 stars. I do not exaggerate. This place is the best seafood I had in Florida. A message to the owners, i heard you're expanding into... different cities, (please do pappaduex is garbage) but i implore you to never change the recipe or quality in exchange forprofits. I enjoyed this better than 5 star places. I would fly from Chicago for this stuff. Back to review, got the crab legs,shrimp, and oysters on medium special sauce. The Po boy fish and shrimp sandwiches were the best sandwichs i had for seafood.Cannot recommend enough. Read more
