It's a trap. They make it unclear and they don't tell you if it's in your room rate or not. Overpriced. Add 18% tips... automatically for a buffer where you server yourself. Food is good. Read more

Astonishingly overpriced. My husband and I were staying here because I had a conference here, and since I was in a rush to eat... breakfast before my first session, I thought, “how bad can it be if we just order something small à la carte?” After wefinally succeeded at flagging down a waiter, he tried his best to sell us on the buffet for $38.00 a person. We said, “nothanks, just the Eggs Benedict” ($22.00 a person). What a lovelessly prepared dish. About a tablespoon of Hollandaise each. Wewould have been more satisfied with Egg McMuffins. Black coffee was $5.00. Even more shocking: tea was $7.00. Yes: a mug ofboiling water and a tea bag. 18% gratuity was added automatically (for a place that charges that much, you’d think they’dbe able to pay their employees a living wage). Avoid this place like the plague: the hotel is clearly trying to rip off acaptive audience. The line at the Starbucks, the only place in the hotel selling coffee and vaguely breakfasty food for marketrate prices, was 40 people long: that says something. Read more

A favorite spot for quality breakfast. Service is always super even when they have a full house. Definitely worth a return... visit. This place has an awesome atmosphere. Makes me feel like I am back in Sacramento. Read more

The breakfast buffet food is good but the service and value are way off. $36 for one person that includes an automatic 18%... gratuity. The staff are not attentive and... it's a buffet! Patrons serve themselves! With a less than 5 minute walk in thesurrounding area we found much better breakfast options. Read more

This is easily the best breakfast buffet I've experienced at a hotel. Food was excellent quality and excellent variety,... including egg/dairy free and vegetarian options. Not cheap - more than I'd like to pay every day, certainly - but not out ofline with where it is. An excellent choice. Read more

The food was fine, poorly coordinated staff. I had stayed at the Intercontinental hotel for 4 nights and on the first day coming... here, I didn't have a great experience. I didn't get any names but the hostess at the front had directed us to a table, and hadseated us. She said that we could go get our food at the buffet and then come back to the table. I went back and there wascoffee and orange juice placed. I had assumed it was placed since we had the table. I sat down, and then a waitress goes up tome with an attitude. "That's not your table. Don't you see the coffee and orange juice laid out?" She kicked me out of the tableand they had mistakenly given OUR table to another couple. Poor coordination on behalf of the waiters and hosts. We had the breakfast buffet 2 days in a row. The omelets were very good and there were some other nice choices. The manager... Jesus is a really nice guy and the staff were friendly overall. It gets pretty busy, so maybe ask for an extra drink if youdon't like to wait. We were hesitant to go at first because of a couple negative reviews, but we were informed that they havebeen under new management and they seem to be getting it together. Will definitely stop in next time we're in Miami. Read more
