Feliz Cumpleanos! We celebrated with our Miami family like there's no tomorrow at Rancho Mateo! What a fantastic place to... celebrate a birthday! They had a live band singing Cumpleanos Feliz multiple times for all the birthday people. Everyone in theplace sang in their loudest voices, including yours truly! It was so much fun, so loud, so crazy and I loved it!! Adriana, ourbirthday girl, was having a blast! Columbian food is their specialty. We ordered several Carne a la Llaneras and they arrivedin a huge stack on a big platter for everyone at our table! They were delicious and seasoned perfectly. They came with roastedpotatoes, onions and everyone dug in. Soon we needed a second platter! Our lovely birthday girl was given a very specialbirthday drink that was in the largest cocktail glass I've ever seen! She loved it. Then a pitcher of beer arrived and we alltried it. The most delicious I have ever tasted! It's called Refajo....aguila beer and Colombiana champagne soda. Wow! I wasglad that I was not driving that night. The singers came along and we clapped and sang Feliz Cumpleanos!! We had a greattime! Our server was Javier and he was outstanding! We were never ignored. He made sure we had water, drinks, and were happy. We sure were happy!! We had the best time!! I felt rejuvenated when it was time to leave. The place was packed. I heard thatif you don't arrive before 7:00pm on a Saturday, there will be no tables left. When we left, there was a long line of peoplewaiting for a table. They have outdoor dining as well as indoor. There is a large parking lot there. Put this wonderfulrestaurant on your list asap. You won't regret it. Read more

It's the old las Vegas but this new restaurant upgraded everything and it looks great. The food was good and the staff was... great. Granted I went for lunch and we only had 6 people inside and 3 outside but service was great. Parking is free but it ison a strip mall so you need to drive around for a spot. Update: 09/20/2022 Sad to say but the prices for meals and drinks wentway up. If you want Colombian food, search for other places near by which are much better priced than this one. $$$. My menuphotos will be removed as they don't show current prices. Read more

So I was between a 2 and a 3 but reading some reviews I decided for the 2. First the beers were warm, the morcilla was cold we... did tell the waitress and she didnt really care. Then my friends mojarra was raw....I asked for a medium entraña and was morelike rare. I dont mind blood in my meat so didn't complaint. Now they didn't get the order right either my spouse asked for theentraña with mushroom sauce and they brought without the mushroom sauce. And she had to wait.....the place is nice the livemusic is great I also like the uniforms. All in all come have drinks they have ice. Read more

Delicious Carne Al Carbon. If you are nearby FIU, you must stop and try it. Punta de Anca or Costillas de Res, so tasty. The... environment is very friendly, with live music. I recommend you this place to go for lunch with your family Read more

This place really surprise me, we were looking for a good carne en vara o a la llanera Venezuelan or Colombian restaurant since... I’m Venezuelan and my husband is Colombian, we being trying different places that were not bad but somehow were missingsomething but this place has it all. The place is big and decoration was very Colombian, everything was clean and tables hasenough space between each other, everybody was in uniforms making it feel like a well prepared workers. Great attentionstaring from the hosted that she was very nice, then our server Sebastian (the receipt said that was his name) was very patienceand was recommending things without putting pressure, he came to the table a couple time to check on our food and make sure wedidn’t need anything while we were eating but still gave us our space and time to eat and relax in our own time, he offereddessert and broad our check in very nice timing. We started with a large Refajo, it was a bit big for two but at the end wedrank it all (I don’t have a picture for this) but was perfect for the food we got. We didn’t got an appetizer because wewant it to eat a lot of meat, so we started with the “Carne llanera” (medium) that comes with cole slaw (Colombian style)steam potatoes and fried sweet plantain, the meat was tender and had that particular charcoal Smokey flavor verycaracterísticas of this type of preparation, the salad was a little citric very Colombian style and match perfect with the meatand of course potatoes and plantains were perfect, the portion was big, it was a lot of meat. We also got an “EntrañaMarinera” (medium) that was a skirt steak perfectly grilled súper extra tender that was melting as soon as got in my mouthtopped with huge shrimps on a White House sauce, the combination of flavor for this meat was amazing didn’t need anything elsethe border of the meat was little crispy but the middle was medium, you can pick two sides and we picked rice and French fries, the rice was pe Read more

@ranchomateomiami is truly a Gem, located in Tamiami, Florida. This Colombian steakhouse has so much to offer and has such an... authentic vibe to it. The food portions are huge so I definitely recommend sharing a plate. Here you can see I ordered theirpopular Bandeja Paisa which consists of white rice , beans , plantains , sausage , fried eggs , steak , chicharron andavocado. What I loved the most from this place is that on weekends they have Paso Fino horses trotting around while there islive Spanish music. The Paso Fino horses are a naturally gaited light horse breed. Pasos are prized for their smooth four beatsteps, they are used in many disciplines, but are especially popular for trail riding. I’d recommend sitting in the outsidearea if you want to see the horses but they do have karaoke and entertainment in the beautifully decorated inside restaurant andbar area if you’d prefer not to sit outside. ???????? ???? #tamiami Read more
