Tucked away in this urban retail section you'll find a surprise with Sokai. It looks very modest on the outside but once you set... in, you'll see an elevated venue. The kitchen and bar and open. The layout is simple, efficient and esthetic. Most of theseating are tables but there are mixed booths and the bar as well. The menu is online and scan via QR code on the table. It isvia extensive with photos. I actually suggest taking notes physically of what you like to make ordering a bit easier. Drinksare at the very bottom of the menu. A couple of suggestions are their house drinks. The sake mule was very fresh and a delightto drink. The red or white sangria can be ordered by the glass or bottle. If you get a glass you get a nice surprise of paletainside. The fruit extra sweet being frozen and their was also carbonation or bubble essences to the paleta. For a quickappetizer go with edamae. It has a nice sauce on top of it with a hint a spice. Great was to eat edamae. For something moreadventurous the sushi pizza is something unique. The crispy rice this is served on steals the show. Great texture, flavor andbinds well with the rest of the ingredients. If you feel like rice there is sushi or fried rice dishes. And if you feel likedifferent seafood you have ceviche with 5 or more options. If there's still room get the fluffy cheesecake. It comes with aside of strawberry ice cream with basil. The ice cream could almost be it's own dessert but with the cheesecake you haveheaven. A little assuming from the outside but inside is different. The menu is truly extensive and it hits. Decided to stop here on my way back out east and WOW! What a spot. Our waiter, Ruben, was amazing. Fantastic service. The food... was INCREDIBLE. It’s hard to find good sushi in Miami but these dishes were top 3. I had the rockstar and my boyfriend had theflagler, and they were both so amazing. The ambiance is cool, decor is pretty, open kitchen concept is cool to see as well.Definitely have to come back out here again just for Sokai! Read more

I Didn’t have a great experience at Sokai Doral, BUT, I decided today to try Sokai WEST FLAGLER and I’m so happy that I did.... First, I was welcomed by the nicest person ever, her name was Katherine. She made the whole experience different because I toldher about what happened to me in the other location. The ceviche: YUMMM!!! Excellent choice???? and the Maui Roll (which theymade it special for me) OMG! ???????? Our server, Ruben, was incredibly nice, diligent and helpful… 10/10! The food was delicious! It was not our first time in a Sokai location but our first time in this location (Flagler). The service... was spectacular, we had Daniel as our server which was very friendly and polite and gave AMAZING recommendations.
