The mac and cheese is incredible here I can see why they’re Famous. The portions are not too big but you will get full.... Easily. We had truffle m&c and the chicken one with added bacon. You will get foodgasm but also a cholesterol spike. Itdoesn’t matter, tho, you’d be willing to go for a run to have that food again. Their lemonades are good, too. Read more
To come here is to understand why they are called world famous. it truly just doesn’t get any better than House of Mac when it... comes to mac and cheese. The food is always good and hot!! made the order. the server was very attentive. we said we wanted ourorder in to go containers and he brought it out in the cast iron we reminded him we wanted it in to go and he took it back andreturned back with in 3 minutes quit our order. nice r&b music. good spot and would definitely recommend Read more
Great place for food and gathering with friends. The jerk shrimp mac and cheese was delicious. Cornbread appetizer was amazing... too. The music was great, especially the violinist. The alcoholic drinks looked amazing, but I didn't get a chance to try any.Friendly staff and service. Great overall atmosphere. Read more
The food itself is worth 5 stars! However my overall experience wasn’t the greatest. I went to dine in solo. My waitress took... a very long time to come to my table. Another table sat down after me and was serviced quickly but they had a different waitresswho seemed to be on top of it, kudos to her! I never received my water or drink from my waitress, the hostess actually saw thatI was still sitting there empty table and checked on me and she got me my drinks. My food had actually came out before she cameback with the water/lemonade(which is really fresh and good). I ordered the jerk chicken and shrimp Mac & Cheese! It was verydelicious and definitely easily shareable, I took most of it home. It was just disappointing that my waitress was prettycareless for any of her tables. One table next to me ended up leaving because she would never come back to check on them orupdate them on the status of their food. I try to give benefit of doubt due to staffing shortages at restaurants. Maybe nexttime I visit, I’ll order to go instead because the food is really good. Read more
The World Famous House of Mac is located in Miami, Florida. The customer service was horrible. We had to flag down someone to... take our order. It took forever to receive our drinks and food. Our drinks were mediocre, and definitely not worth the prices wepaid. The Crab Macaroni and Lobster Macaroni was bland. It looked delicious, but the flavor and seasonings were not there. Thelemon broccoli was horrible. The Philly cheese steak pizza was the best thing I ate. It was hot and fresh. It was loaded withsteak, veggie and cheese. This restaurant offers an exotic menu, but the food is not cheap. Be ready to spend some money! Read more
Order to go. Not worth the dine-in experience. Waited outside for 30 min. Didn’t seem too bad (9pm-9:30pm), even though they... said it was “15-20 min but going fast” lies. Once inside, we ordered and waited 1 hour and 10 min for the appetizer! Anorder of seven chicken wings, 10:47pm… we sat there with our overly sweet lemonade. We asked the server where the food was,and all she kept saying was “it’s coming”. Got the rest of the food around 11pm. Ate, paid our bill and was out by11:15-11:20? “Keith’s Favorite Burger” was slapped together, not worth waiting two hours for. We also ordered thetruffle Mac and cheese… not a hint of truffle, we believe they forgot to put it in, in their rush to get us some food. Read more
Visiting Miami and googled a black owned restaurant to support and World Famous House of Mac popped up! Excellent choice! We... meet the owner Chef Teach! He was very humble and very approachable! Took a picture with us! Atmosphere was lovely ! Food waschefs kiss! Our waitress Stacie was the best! Homemade blueberry lemonade was so fresh and delicious I had to take one ! Read more
Went there earlier today. Menu is very enticing, many choices. Hubs got the Buffalo Mac n cheese which was delicious and I got... the chicken and shrimp Alfredo. Unfortunately, it missed the bar by a long shot. The pasta itself is tasteless. The shrimp andchicken is very good but for $27 the portion was smaller than I expected. I think the lady taking the orders should mention thatwhen customers are asking for recommendations. When i got my ordered and mentioned the small portion she was speechless.Literally had nothing to say. Hopefully, this review will be a learning and training opportunity for the establishment. I willbe back but will stick to their Mac n cheese with a chicken add. First time I came I had the BBQ chicken Mac n cheese and it wasto die for. Expensive lesson learned. Read more
