I am not certain why there are business hours posted here as well as a telephone number when it is clear this business is not... operating. I went to the restaurant yesterday and was unable to find it. I asked the other businesses in the same area and theyhad no idea about this restaurant. This one star is me being nice! Don't try ordering by phone. Everytime I called no answer. If they manage to pick up they put... you on hold. I gave up with phone and walked in. To my surprise it wasn't as busy as I thought. I little secret about most ofthe food on the menu, "IT CANT BE MADE FRESH"! Basically, you got to warm it up and put it on the plate. The wait time on thatis like 30min. I ordered the oxtail. On the menu it said $15.99. I got rice and beans and cabbage. Some of the cheapest thingsyou could buy in bulk. The total came to be $21.56. I was hungry so I let slide thinking I was going to receive a good amount.Boy was I wrong. It came with 5 pieces of oxtail, two scoopes of rice and beans, and a pinch of cabbage. To my surprise yetagain, the oxtail was more red then the traditional dark gravy. The texture of the oxtail was good, it was soft. But the tasteis another story. I not a fan of "SWEET AND SPICE" oxtail. It had a weird smell. I think it's cause of the seasoning they used.I will not be going back for there anytime soon! Read more

I love Jamaican food. My New York roots and year living in Kingston require that I get a fix every now and again. This is a... small mom and pop place that offers those popular dishes you crave. The roti is really good as is the curry chicken. Some daysare hit or miss, which is what happens with smaller operations. They don't make Jamaican patties, either. These last two pointsare why it's getting three stars but that doesn't mean I won't be back. I will continue to support because we need this place onthe beach. Well...well...well where do I start. My sister and I were on a major hunt for our last evening in south beach. To locate an... authentic caribbean restaurant. So we can dine in for the last night. Well, I must say we were both please by the outcome ofchoosing this restaurant. I had the oxtail with rice and beans and she had the curry chicken with rice and beans and plantains.Both, very flavorful and cooked to perfection! Time we waited our food, was about 5 to 10 minutes. So not long at all. Staff wasvery friendly and conversational. Prices were very inexpensive. Overall the experience was amazing!!
