Great staff, warm welcoming! Mexican food is super tasty and brings a new blend to its cuisine. Prices moderate, music is... chilly. Location is inside the Generator Hotel. Read more

The food was very delicious, but is not worth the price. Very small portions. Also we were seated at the most uncomfortable... place, though there were plenty of other free tables. In the beginning the waitress asked us wich water we would prefer, wethought it was free like everywhere. But be carefull, they charge you 5 $ for each can!! Would not go there again. Read more

The ambience was amazing! We had Al pastor and mushroom tacos, which we absolutely loved! Carne burrito was great as well. The... place is kinda in a hipster hotel, which is really affordable for the area. I think the food was a bit overpriced. However, would come back again. Read more

There are two postings on Google for the same restaurant, one days Miami Beach the other downtown. The ambiance of the... restaurant was really cool but the food was mediocre at best. Chips and queso, queso was the thinnest layer of cheese but thechips were good, crunchy. Carne asada burrito was fine. A lot of meat not much else, the menu said refried pinto beans andpicking at the burrito with a fork I couldn't find them, came with like 8 chips. Other members in our party got a quesadilla andthey said it was dry, with not much flavor. Salsa was eh, just sweet - no lime, spice or really any flavor. One member of ourparty, who got the chicken quesadilla got sick, 3 hours later, likely the start of food poisoning. Read more

Tiny, delicious tacos and margaritas that are also expensive. I had the carne asada steak tacos and the al pastor ?heritage?... pork. Steak was amazing. Pork was okay, not great. Margarita was outstanding. The vibe was trendy, seating was packed, I ate atthe bar and got great service. Yes, it?s dark, it can be loud, and it can be busy - it?s Miami along the beach! If you?renearby, this is a great option, and while it may be $$$, many nearby options are $$$$ or $$$$$ - making Hoja a reasonable stopfor great food! Things Hoja could add: better food allergen labeling - especially gluten free (?gf?), breakfast tacos (theydon?t have them), more lighting. Read more
