Party of 8, not a single plate had anything left from the main course, the service was impeccable, the manager, I think,... checked in on each course. I had the filet, cooked to perfection, presented beautifully, the wine selection was so tasty Itook a picture of the bottle, the coffee at the end of the meal did not disappoint also, hot, tasty and truly delicious, along with the picture dessert. It simply doesn't get better than this. While the restaurant can be a bit hard to find (go up the stairs), it's well worth the... effort. Very posh but not at all pretentious, the vibe is relaxed and food is really the focus. While everything I tried wasamazing (like James Beard level amazing), the sea bass was in a class of it's own--buttery with a perfect texture. Other hits:the short rib risotto (faro was an unexpected delight), the truffle ravioli, and as much as I was skeptical, the spaghetti wasas delicious as it was simple. And while I would normally warn not to fill up on bread, the marscapone butter and eggplantrelish that come with the warm bread merit a portion of your appetite. Just perfect, no other way to describe it. The service was incredible and made wonderful recommendations which helped determine... what we ordered. We had the polenta (a must order), the short rib with farro risotto to start and the lobster tagliatelle andduck and fois gras ravioli. Everything was outstanding.
