We had been to Farina’s many times over the summer; food and service was excellent but last night was awful. Upon entering for... a 6 reservation, the two hostesses were thoroughly confused and unwelcoming. We grabbed a seat at the bar instead. There weretwo servers; one working non stop to support all the staff orders as well as bar and the other not trained to run the bar. Ihave never experienced so much confusion. Customers patiently waited 20 minutes to put in a drink order, some just left. It tooktwo hours to receive our meal and when it arrived, it was the wrong order so my husband ate his while I waited another 30minutes for mine which eventually arrived over cooked. Farina's was an excellent choice for our last supper together before vacation ended. Lido our server was slammed.... But at the... same time was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable with our table as we let him know we were in no rush. The food wasfantastic & portions were enormous! Everything from the grilled calamari, chicken parm., meatball salad, and whitefish special.The only issue (minor) was the loudness of the 12-top table in our room. It's our second time here, and we loved it. Service was outstanding. We had a very early reservation, so it was not crowded. We... saw two tables set up nearby with 14 place settings each, so we were glad we got there early! The atmosphere is outstanding. Wedined inside, though it would have been a nice early evening meal al fresco. By the time we left, it was quite energeticinside. As for the food, what can I say? Everything was delicious. This place isn't cheap, and the portions make up for it!Lots of leftovers! And on the way out, you know what? My wife made another reservation for next week with us and more of thefamily!
