We ate outside on a beautiful day!!! Our waitress was very attentive and fun! She got our orders in and drinks at the table!!!... There was a bridal gathering and I had to get the bride a shot!!! Nice way to end the sunny day after hanging out at the beach. Rooftop dining area was beautiful as the sun was going down. The... day we were there they had a one man band singing a bunch of fun upbeat familiar tunes the whole crowd knew. Drinks were prettygood, big buckets of mixed signature drinks. I had the perch and my wife had the cod basket. It was pretty good. I?d probablytry something different next time. The service was just okay but they were busy. If I was only rating the food I?d probably say3 stars, if I was only rating the location, ambiance and entertainment I?d probably rate 5 stars. I?ll give them a solid 4. Read more
Love this place! We stopped in with our 2 kids and had a great time and a phenomenal meal! Melissa was our server and we... absolutely loved her! She was super attentive and friendly to our kids. The lower deck area is the only option for familydining, but with the overview of the lake, it was perfect! Can't wait to go back! Read more
Probably one of the most disappointing restaurants I?ve been to in a while. We stopped here for lunch after a morning at the... beach due to the easy drive from the beach. Cool deck atmosphere but limited seating areas for families and not the cleanestplace. Waitress was friendly. The food was the biggest disappointment of all. Pricey and terrible quality. My meal didn?t comewith all the sides listed on the menu, my own fault for not realizing this until after we were done. I ordered the fruit cupside option for my child?s meal and was given a small container of maraschino cherries, like they just grabbed them from behindthe bar. I?ve had better meals at fast food restaurants. This may be a good place to enjoy entertainment and drinks but the fooddefinitely needs some work. Read more
This is a great place to hang out and take friends to. It is a very laid back and they didn't seem to be in a hurry to get us... out even though they were packed. My husband and I bought drinks and appetizers and watched the fireworks on the 4th of July.The food is definitely bar food, good but not great. I wouldnt come back just for the food. Should?ve darted when the mozzarella sticks came out. They were too chewy and tough. Most definitely sat under the heat lamp on... the line too long. We ordered a soft shell crab sandwich and a perch sandwich. So?here we go. NO SAUCE. On either sandwich.Just the battered fish and crab and buns. Some sad looking tomatoes and pickles and onions on the side. We were going to askour server for something, anything?but we didn?t see anyone until it was time for the check. My friend ordered the chipsinstead of fries, thinking that they were going to be housemade or something. But it was just an unopened bag of lays plainchips tossed on the plate. That wasn?t on the menu. It absolutely should be. Could barely taste the meat through all thebatter. I struggled to finish the crab, it was just all breading. The perch wasn?t that much better. The buns were stale andold. Service was fine so I left our server $10 on $40?not her fault, she didn?t cook the food. That?s the only reason for 2stars. But this was probably one of the most disappointing meals I?ve ever eaten. Definitely regrettable. Read more

My first time ever being at Matey's, which is a shame, really. I met with 2 of my lifelong friends to grab bite to eat and catch... up. You get a good vibe from the place and it's a casual, bar/restaurant for all. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer.They were actually breaded spears and not chips. Our entrees were fish tacos, wings, and chicken sandwich, and we were allsatisfied with our choices and the prices were reasonable as well. We sat for quite a while after we were done eating catchingup , and the waiter did not try and rush us out. When the owner found out that 2 of us have never been there before, he boughtus a round of drinks and took us up to see the neat rooftop that was already closed for the season.
