The waitress we had was good, but a lot of the other staff was not. I watched a couple of "girls" talk badly about a couple of... the customers that left after we had been seated. One made fun of how bad they smelled and the other giggled like a child. Ispoke with the MOD about what I had witnessed and she basically blew it off. We told our waitress the situation when she came tocheck on us. We asked for boxes in the middle of our meal, we paid, and left. We lost our appetite by this point. Great diner inspired restaurant. Awesome burgers. Excellent service and staff.
I would have given five stars but the bun looks like it was bought at a dollar store two weeks ago. The food was very good, egg... salad could use salt and pepper. But everything was fresh except the bun which is hard to find. You can tell it's fresh and notfrozen. The burgers are all $8 and up and do not include any sides. But I love the diner feel of the place, and will probablyeat here again. My server was very nice. Read more
We are two travelers from Missouri who were on our way up to Northern Michigan, and we rolled through Michigan City about 7:40... last night. We saw that they closed at 8:00 p.m. so we knew the odds of us getting set or not very good... but we came in andthe owner or manager couldn't be more helpful and welcomed us. The hamburger and the patty melt were fantastic along with thered cream soda and vanilla Cokes. Our server was wonderful and we had a great experience. Great atmosphere and even betterpeople. Nice ?Americana? cafe. Nostalgic feel. Awesome bacon cheeseburger!!! Onion rings are huge. A little too crispy for my liking,... but good. Fast, Friendly service. A little pricey, but overall I recommend this place. Read more

My grandmother and I stopped by here for the first time ever. The food was delicious and hot. It was very interesting to try a... chocolate coke while we were here. I would have given 5 stars had our server came back to check on us after giving us our food. After dropping off she didn't come back until we were done. So didn't get to get a refill when we needed it, so luckily, wedidn't need anything else other than that refill. I will be back though. Nice small family restaurant. Read more
