This place is an absolute diamond in the rough. If you're passing through, you would be a fool not to stop here and check out a... unique local supper club and lodge. Snow, nice large, clean rooms, amazing food. Topped off with burboun by the fire in niceleather chairs to end the night. The rooms are not like they are advertised, and when you check in you?re told if you have a fireplace in your room you are not... able to use it, because it is for decoration purpose only. The room I booked was supposed to have a fireplace and glass surroundshower. We got neither, instead we got a super outdated and gross shower. The walls must be paper thin because you can heareverything, including the guests next to us complaining that their room also wasn?t what they booked. We were willing tooverlook the bathroom, looking forward to the restaurant in the lodge. Made reservations, but we did go down a little early sowe let them know that we were early but could come back if needed. They were pretty empty so they were okay with it. We ended uphaving a couple drinks and an appetizer before ordering our meals, at this point the service was good and we were happy. After abit we ordered our food, and by this point it was starting to get busier so when the food was taking longer we didn?t thinkanything of it. Until tables that had come in an hour after ordered were getting their food. Our server was behind the bar andhadn?t came back over in over an hour to check on drinks or see if we had gotten our food. After almost 2 hours we went up tothe bar and asked if she had forgotten to put our order in. Her response was that she had put it under somebody else?s table andthey had already paid and left, but to make it up we could come back after the dining room closed for a couple free beers. Wepaid for our drinks and appetizers and ended up going up the road to another bar that was super friendly and had some greatfood. Went for a Save the Dunes fundraiser, had a blast! Music was great, atmosphere was wonderful. Cannot wait to stay for a romantic... weekend and get a massage. Just wish they had yoga! Read more
This is a very unique property. The atmosphere is very relaxing and it's a short drive to the dunes. The beds were very... comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The onsite restaurant has a very diverse menu and the quality of food is well aboveaverage. Highly recommend this lodge. Read more
came from virginia to visit my sister and we thought this lodge would be a quaint and cozy experience but it was the complete... opposite. There were spider webs all over the windows and curtain area. We opened a window for fresh air but soon found outthere wasn?t a screen to keep the bugs out. We attempted to close the window but couldn?t because the latch broke. The stafftold us they would call maintenance. We also informed the staff there was no heat in the room and that we were cold. Our lengthof stay was for two nights and on night two after complaining again a staff member came up to our room and had the audacity totell us we weren?t supposed to open the window (no sign advising not to touch windows) Another issue was the bedspread wasdirty so I removed it and put it on the floor in the corner. When we arrived back to our room the housekeeping attendant put thesame bedspread on the bed. To sum it up, the room was dirty, dark and dingy and the staff uncaring. Read more

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the location of this lodge. It is very romantic dark lighting in the lounge and the... cavatappi pasta sauce was literally the best sauce I have ever had. We came on a Monday night and reservations were not needed,but we did hear that the lodge was fully booked. It is a beautiful property with loads of amenities and the lodge itself is chicrustic! I don't care how great of a place is or how great the food is. Get rid of the credit card processing fee. It's the cost of doing... business or build it into the cost. 11/25 I am amending my review because I paid cash and I was still charged a credit cardprocessing fee. The bartender said they're unable to remove it. So no it's not about transparency. Read more
