Editing my review, just to absolutely be more than thankful to quite possibly, the best place around. Has always been my local... favourite, and my family's as well. The owner is a fantastic man, who has gone above and beyond to provide wonderful service tothose who live here, and those who come to visit. The food is beyond fantastic, and you can tell that it's made with care, thetimes are fast, and the staff is great. I couldn't ask for a better local eatery, let alone a better group of people. Service was excellent, fries were good, but the fish was not fresh, it was either frozen or old. Too bad, I was so looking... forward to this meal. Other reviewer commented about being refried, that is common, it doesn?t make the fish old ( it had arubbery texture and not the translucent flakes that fresh has) . It?s an easy fix, hopefully the owner sees and takes the stepsto make the food worthy of the past reputation. Read more
Fish didn?t taste fresh. Seemed like it had been reheated instead of cooked from fresh. Fries were super greasy and once again... tasted as if they had been reheated. Owner was not polite when confronted about the quality issues. Instead, they went on tosay how their food was award winning. Unfortunate as I would have been happy to try again before leaving a review but theirrudeness has eliminated that option. Read more

Quite a lovely place to stop in for a bite. The fish and chips weren?t greasy, but had a thin and crisp batter with delicious... flakey fish. The fried scallops were soft and buttery inside a lovely crispy shell. They came with a lot of fries, which were alittle underwhelming. Because the fish fry was so crispy I was surprised that the fries were a little greasy and heavy. Theceasar salad was heavy on the dressing, but was still tasty. I would just ask for less dressing next time. I loved that youcould just look back and see into the kitchen, which was clean and organized. Really nothing to hide. The owners, a husband andwife duo, slinging delicious simple fried food. Next time I?m there if the French fries are crispy I would give 5 stars. Read more
Fish was alright staff where friendly but the clams where rubber and everything was RE FRIED the fries , fish, clams all of it! ... that's where this place fails it made the fries and clams puke worthy, tried the place once and will never show myself thereagain! It was fast but it was NOT fresh!!!!!!! Read more
We used to go here quite often but won?t be back. Got a 2 piece fish and chips with the smallest pieces of fish I?ve ever seen... served. And a cup of tartar half filled. So not impressed. Not a good way to keep customers coming back ???? Read more
This was my first Trip here to NS and this was the first place I went for fish and chips and this place was great the fish was... nice and flacky the batter was great and the chips were just how I like it, I will have to stop back before I head home toOntario Read more
