50 West is the perfect place to hold an event! Not only is the location beautiful, but the owner and staff are AMAZING! (of... course, great wine is another bonus) I was recently looking for a place to hold my mothers celebration of life and we looked atseveral wineries ? 50 West went out of their way to make the experience effortless. They have a wonderful lodge/house that hasmultiple rooms and a huge patio. The back of the house is glass with scenic views of the mountains. They have great built-inbookcases on both floors, and they allowed us to add pictures and decorations. While the setting was wonderful, it was the waywe were welcomed and supported. Obviously, it was a difficult time and the owner, Katie, could not have been kinder or moreaccommodating. Everyone raved about the venue and the delicious wine. I highly recommend the winery for any type of event; Ipromise you will not be disappointed and your guests will be impressed! Read more

Our experience here was underwhelming. We were told by those manning the tasting counter inside told us that we were supposed to... go outside to get a tasting, but the people outside were very confused about what they were supposed to serve to us when wewanted both the regular tasting and the ?elevated? tasting. We thought it was very weird that we had to go to two differenttasting counters to experience the wines there. We ended up having to go inside and get all of the wines there. Not an enjoyablefirst impression. We did enjoy the upstairs area, it was very excluded, which we liked. The upstairs area is for those 21 andolder. I will say, we were not impressed by the wines. We are red wine drinkers and found maybe one or two on their list thatwere palatable. The music was not my kind of music. This place just may not be my cup of tea. Read more

If you?re looking for really good Virginia wine you need to give 50West a try. Top notch local reds, a welcoming atmosphere... with great views, friendly staff, entertainment (nearly) every weekend and plenty of comfortable seating both inside and outmake this a stand out option for whiling away an afternoon. They also offer a huge loaf of fresh baked bread that is perfect toenjoy with your bottle or tasting. Unlike many wineries you are allowed to bring outside food here but they offer a nicevariety of cheese, salami, etc for sale in addition to the fabulous bread. There?s plenty of parking, frequent special events,a wine club with a really beautiful clubhouse and they host special events too. Easy to get to, right off hwy 50, west of oldAldie. If you?re planning a tour of Northern Virginia wineries, or just looking for a pleasant day out - don?t miss out on50West! Read more

I can?t say enough good things about 50 West! We used the 2nd floor tasting room for an event, and it was absolutely fantastic!... It?s the perfect space for a small event. The event coordinator went above and beyond. The staff were all so nice andaccommodating the entire time, which made the whole experience perfect. All of our guests loved the wine selections and had afantastic time (they actually didn?t want to leave after it ended). I?ll be going back to 50 West very soon! Read more

Immediately could tell a difference from the other wineries. The people at the front were very social and nice. They had live... music, social distant and lots of room. Prices where very reasonable and they gave us samples, others were not. Sangria and roseare bomb. Read more

Beautiful views, good wine. Friendly staff and free Tesla destination charger. Tasting menu when we visited was a little light... on reds and favored the white wines but the wines were well balanced and enjoyable. You can subtly see their interest in theenvironment by looking at the bird development they encourage. Read more

Ricki was so nice to us! On our second trip back to 50W she remembered us and the particular wine we drank (we had... forgotten...). This time around we chose to go to the club house instead of the General tasting area ? a more quiet andintimate experience! The story is that this house turned tasting room was built by a Frank Lloyd Wright protege and moved tothis site in 1985 ? really interesting! So, it is a mid-century Modern house that you can enjoy and explore while drinking somereally great wine and having some exquisite snacks ? try the bread basket with the fresh mozzarella cheese! The wines are finetoo while you are taking in some of the best views around from the stylish deck! Read more
