My husband and I dined here tonight for our anniversary on our first visit to Middleburg VA. We really had an enjoyable... experience. The Chesapeake Bay and Crunch Shrimp Crab Roll were definitely the highlights of the meal. The atmosphere, serviceand food were exceptional. The couple seates next to us enjoyed their food as well as the woman said and I quote, "If I wereCinderella this restaurant would be my fairy godmother". I have to agree. Well done Red Bar Sushi; thank you for the perfectending to our anniversary day. Read more

First time at Red Bar Sushi. Went there for dinner on a Saturday, and had a reservation, which I would recommend if you want to... eat inside. They also have a nice patio area, so outdoor dining is a available. Sushi was amazing and overall a good experience. The place is kind of small, so pretty tight quarters. Also, service was slow. Be prepared for long waits between service. Theyonly had one waitress plus a server, and it was full. Not sure they could have added another wait person with the spacelimitations, so you're probably always going to be in that situation in this particular space. Did I mention that the sushi wasfantastic. If you're not in a hurry, and you want great sushi, this place is great. Read more

Nice staff and it has some outdoor tables. Really enjoyed the cold asparagus salad - it has a nice shredded cabbage? Under the... veggies, and the seaweed salad. The tempura app was fresh fried with a nice little selection of veggies- zucchini, sweetpotatoes, onion, and green beans. The vegetable sushi rolls were nice too. Read more

The worst experience. Saturday evening with the horse show in town and only two line cooks and two servers. Waited for someone... to see us and get seated. Waited some 10 minutes for service, drinks took a further 15 minutes. Food order took even longer. Atthis point we were contemplating just leaving when the food arrived. Put simply, it was inedible. The soy sauce was pure salt, there was no low sodium option as is usual in all other sushi restaurants I have been to. In addition plastic beakers andplastic ramekins have no place in any restaurant that charges these sort of prices. Honestly, the first clue should have beenthat the people at the adjacent table left full plates of food and half full drinks beakers when they left. It was 15 minutesbefore the detritus was cleared. There was also a distinct fishy smell which is always a red flag. Never again. I do not blamethe servers. They were obviously overwhelmed and management should have predicted an extra busy time and provided extrastaff. If I could give them zero stars I would. Read more

Cute little place in Middleburg. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the very kind hostess. They took our to go order.... While we were waiting, I got a miso soup and it was delicious. The sushi itself was also delicious and very fresh. Read more

Excellent dining experience. Everyone in our party ordered something different and everything was delicious. The owner seated us... and checked on us later as well as getting us drinks. Very personal service. Our waitress was fantastic. She handled everythingwe needed and every order was perfect. Simple environment. Indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend reservations because, I amsure, with sushi this good, it could easily fill up. The do offer take out, as well. Great place for sushi and not expensive. Read more

My new favor dish here, “ Spicy Seafood Hot Pot”, it has scallops, clams, soft shell shrimp, tofu, egg, and veggies. I loved... eating spicy, from the picture it doesn’t looked spicy at all, actually it was spicy, and according to what chef said, thatthe chili pastes was fresh make with more than 10 ingredients, and he only put half of the tea spoon in the soup. I will tryone tea spoon next time, and I also asked for a Togo chili sauce to take home. Had my dinner here with my friends couple weeksago, I ordered An Omakase, I often go D.C. for Omakase, so I didn’t expected much, it turned out that their Omakase was abit surprised me!! I definitely will come back and would recommend this place for those who wants good sushi and D.C was toofar... Read more
