I have been in middleburg dozens of times, never tried Red Horse ! This time was the time that k decided to try it out . The... place was crowded, which was a good sign for me ! We asked if we can try inside as outside was full! The server first responsewas not nice when we asked if there any other table as this one on the end ( and facing the toilet doors ) her respond was notas expected ! Anyhow ! We ordered salmon Atlantic , bison burger, wings and chicken panini ! And Nachos The Nachos wasdisappointment ! The chicken panini ! We really didn?t know if it was chicken panini or not ! They add chips as a side while weasked for fries. The burger was good and for me! I think it was very good. The buffalo wings with not much buffalo sauce! Mydaughter didn?t even finish half ! The Salomon was under seasoning ! The staff maybe were under the pressure of full place withcustomers but that doesn?t mean to be not welcoming attitude ! This visit was disappointing for me ! We were in the area and found Red Horse Tavern. I'm so glad that we did! Right when we walked onto the patio, we were greeted... immediately by a hostess/server who, though she was very busy with other customers, was extremely friendly and courteous. Neveronce did she act like she was frustrated or overwhelmed. She asked about drinks, and she had them sent out immediately. It wasa beautiful evening out on the patio, and after a short wait, our food arrived exactly how we'd ordered it. Small requests werebrought over quickly and our dinner was amazing. I ordered just a regular cheeseburger with cheddar and a soft drink. Mydaughter has the Grilled Chicken Cesar salad, I believe. It was HUGE! She said it tasted amazing. Went to the Red Horse Tavern for a birthday dinner. They have a 4 course menu with an abundance of entree choices. Great... ambiance as this is one of the oldest inns in Virginia circa 1728 in Middleburg. Excellent service as well, the chef cooks agreat variety of seasonal fare. Also available are rooms for the weekend, but reserve early. We will definitely return! Read more
Was in Middleburg so stopped by for lunch and had White chicken chili and Blackened Tuna sandwich with sweet potato fries. Wow,... fantastic! Chili was hearty, more like a stew and very flavorful. Tuna had just the right amount of spice and was cookedperfectly. Some of the best SP fries I've had. Read more
This is the best place for yummy food and drinks. The staff pays attention to detail and goes above and beyond to make sure it?s... a good experience. I have a food allergy, and they modified their desserts to provide me an option that fit within my diet. Bestplace in Middleburg for food and a good time! Read more
This place has amazing service, our waiter was on top of things the whole time! The food was really delicious. I got the Alpine... burger and fries and a side salad. Definitely recommend. My husband got the wings and they were very yummy as well. The friesare some of the best I?ve had in a long time, super crispy potato perfection! My mother in law and father in law both got thesalmon and said it was perfectly cooked and would get it again. We also had the coffee cake for dessert and let me tell you, getthe coffee cake!! Called ahead to make my to-go order. Came in around lunch time and picked it up. Service was great. Food was even better.
