Me and friends from Portugal travelled 3500+ miles to attend our friend's wedding there. The event was ok up until the... management abruptly shut the bar without notice and called the police to pretend there was an external complaint about noise -In a wedding venue!!! If they can't host receptions then don't sell the service. Clear lack of passion for hosting and zerocustomer centricity. Shameful behaviour leaving all guests on the street waiting for cabs for one hour in sub 32 degreetemperatures! Read more

I just wanted to start off by saying I absolutely loved this place and I truly wish I could give it 5 stars. The food was... amazing, the staff was top notch, our server was very knowledgable and comforting, and the atmosphere was everything we wanted.However, I felt pretty disappointed at the end of our night. I booked this reservation through Open Table and they explainedthat it was $125/person for a 4 course meal. Cool, not a problem and was looking forward to it. At the beginning of the night,the servers go through their spiel regarding the menu and how it works which is somewhat helpful as it is a bit overwhelming atfirst. Our server only mentioned that the Steak/Surf and Turf option was the only part of the menu that you’d have to payextra for…that’s it. We got cocktails in the beginning, assuming we’d have to pay extra for those - we did and were finewith that. If I would have known that the wine pairing with each course was ~$100 per person extra I would have completelychanged my decisions made throughout the night. Would have been fine with just purchasing a bottle of wine to have throughoutour 4 courses. $200 for a quarter of a glass of wine with each course….no. When I got the bill I was shocked…my bill wasover $600 after a 20% tip. If I could make a recommendation for the restaurant, I’d please advise you to clearly state whatthings cost extra on top of the paid $125-4 course meal per person. I almost felt like I was jipped or cheated in some way,rethinking of whether I’d come back or not. I wish this wasn’t the case as I loved this place but I was very disappointedonce the bill came. I have gone to this establishment for years. Prior to Covid it was one of my favorite restaurants. In the past year I have... gone twice. They have implemented this overpriced 4 course meal, removed brunch options and the food is simply way over priced. Last night I added the 12 oz NY strip to my dinner. It was maybe, I mean MAYBE, 1/2 inch thick. I can get better steaks atGiant, you would think a fine dining establishment had a better meat selection that he local Grocery chain. You can go to anyfine dining establishment and get a much better meal for about half the cost of what this place charges. I was also a bitdisappointed with the service. There were several wait staff in the restaurant and our server appeared to only have 3 tables. Yet getting drinks to the table seemed rather difficult last evening. The positives are the Inn itself -- it is amazing. It ishistoric, beautiful and located in a quaint town in Northern VA. That is about all that this place has going for it anymore. This gem of a hotel is nestled in the heart of Middleburg Virginia. Upon check in you are greeted with world class customer... service welcoming you to this beautiful property. The inn is no doubt the artistic vision of an artist who understands the typeof lodging experience the discerning traveler would find amazing. The rooms are richly designed, spotless and spacious. Red Fox Inn & Tavern, the oldest Inn in the country, had an amazing, Five Star dining experience consisting of four courses of... the highest quality. The service was second to none, top tier. Thank you to Tim M. for creating an incredibly invitingatmosphere and excellent recommendations for dinner. Prix-Fixe Four Course Experience: $125 pp I can tell you that I made acouple of upgrades and parings to maximize the full experience and it was well worth every penny! You’ll see below, the lambmeatballs, grilled watermelon salad, wagyu bone-in ribeye, and strawberry/rhubarb shortcake with a cocktail and local Virginianwine, ending with a nice coffee and every single bite and sip was fantastic, prepared to perfection! I will let the picturesspeak for themselves but the flavors were rich and complex, offering a delightful experience for the tastebuds. My greatestcompliments to the chef and team! I will be back!! My husband and I just got back from a wonderful weekend at the Red Fox Inn to celebrate my birthday. Check-in went seamlessly.... My husband had worked with the Inn to arrange for flowers and champagne to be in the room when we arrived. Throughout theweekend the staff was fantastic, breakfast was delivered at our specified time, the room was so clean! This is a true relaxingplace to stay and it is conveniently located in the middle of town. Short drive away to different wineries. We will definitelybe back! Read more
My experience was not positive since my first contact with space. I I as one of the groomsmen, was present at the rehearsal, at... the end we went to the space bar to drink a cocktail and the manager kicked the groom's family out of the bar and forced them todrink the cocktails bought at the bar outside. On the day of the wedding, the ceremony and the meal went well, although wenoticed little flexibility in the special requests of the guests and even the bride and groom. At 1h30 from the end of theevent, they stopped serving drinks and stopped the band, in 2 minutes the police arrived, called by the staff, and they forceeveryone out of space, where it was under 25 degrees. I think that a space that hosts a wedding should know how to received andtake better care of both the guests and, above all, the bride and groom. Read more
