When is it okay for chicken piccata to come out looking like soup and noodles? It also looks like the pan wasn?t hot enough for... the chicken as it is missing the beautiful golden brown color it deserves, instead of this unappetizing grey-beige theme goingon here. Pan fry your chicken, set aside. Deglaze your pan and make the sauce. Toss your linguine in the pan to coat thenoodles. Plate your noodles. Plate your chicken. From the outside I would have never guessed that an amazing meal is before me. My family suggested this place as they've been... there already. The service was great!!! I don't recall the servers name. She was wonderful. We got yummy warm bread and butter.I ordered the chef's special, crab stuffed cod on top of risotto. Fantastic dining experience! The Bistro popped up in a Google search while we were looking for a place to eat near our hotel. I... was a little skeptical when we pulled up to the strip mall, but behind the unassuming exterior is a hidden gem. The food wasamazing - everything was homemade - and even some of the picky eaters in our family we?re impressed. As good as the food was,the service was even better. They treated us just like family from the moment we walked in and were even more attentive to ourneeds than family sometimes is. Highly recommend. Read more
This place was more than expected, we are from out of town and found from google search based on where we were staying. The food... was wonderful everything we ordered tasted so good. I also ordered my martini wrong and it was promptly fixed at no charge. Themeatball appetizer was delicious and our 2 year old ate most of it but we all enjoyed the extra sauce with the warm deliciousbred. My husband ordered the veal parm and it was tender and tasty even the French onion soup was divine. Highly recommend foranyone but they do not have a lot of tables so make a reservation, we got there about 5 and no issue getting a table. Read more
This is a great Italian Restaurant located right on W 130th St off Sprague Rd. It is in a strip mall, so the front view does... not do it proper justice. Upon your entrance, you can immediately sense the warmth of the friendly and cozy atmosphere. Themenu is quite extensive. They serve warm bread that is fresh from the oven. The eggplant lasagna is delicious and the sidesalad is fresh and crisp. The veal is very tender and the braised short ribs are wonderful. Portions are generous so you canplan on leftovers too. The drinks are fabulous and the servers are friendly and prompt. We will return. Read more
I really want to like this place. My wife order 2 pizzas, they said it would be ready in 30 minutes. Got there 30 minutes... later. Paid and then started waiting. I had to wait about 30 minutes more. They were very apologetic and did offer me a drink. When they finally brought out with pizzas they explained that the kitchen was down to 2 people. I understand things happenthat are out of their control and I wasn't upset; they did include a $10 gift certificate! However when I got home and openedthe boxes we discovered the toppings were literally tossed onto 2 cheese pizzas after they were cooked. We have never seenanything like this before. In the end the pizza tasted OK and we will try again because of the gift certificate. Just unusual. Read more
Don't go without a reservation, as we did, as the hostess gets a bit rude " not my area to deal with". 6 tables sat empty all... evening and there was plenty of staff . We were permitted to sit in the bar area. Mushroom soup was excellent. . Short ribs andchicken marsala were ok but very very salty. Melissa, the bar tender had to double as our waitress ..she did her best and Weappreciated her efforts. Read more
