Our first time eating here. My wife had a bacon burger our girls had macaroni and cheese. Our son had pizza and I had the boss... burger. All the food was good. And the burgers are huge. Party of six. The bartender was kind of a miserable person. She clearly did not want to be there, and clearly did not want to... serve us. Our server- Lord I wish I could remember his name- was the most fun, energetic, personality-filled young man I think Ihave been waited on by in many, many years. If this review were based solely on him, it would be a 5+. Steak salad was kind oflow on steak, and the steak was maybe 25% gristle/fat. If not for that, it would have been great. Asked for medium, and it wascooked to true medium. Salmon portion was on the small side, but not outrageously so for the price. Kind of hard to judge thesedays with food costs as they are. For dessert, chocolate cake portions were absolutely huge, but stale. Or possibly not thawedproperly or something, I don't know. I know supply, staffing issues, food costs make the restaurant business goofy as hellthese days. But I think I would have rather cooked and eaten at home. Read more

I haven't been to max & Emma's in what feels like forever. What I did enjoy was their fresh baked cookies. It was actually all I... ordered for my takeout order. When I got there I still had to wait an extra 5 mins. I expected these hot fresh out of the ovenchocolate chip cookies. Nope they were not hot and fresh, not even warm and fresh. They tasted like that were prepared longbefore I arrived let alone before I called in the order. I am not saying they were not good cookies. It just it is not what Ihad in mind ordering from somewhere that I know makes cookies fresh. So it was a real disappointment and for that reason it willprobably be a long time before I choose to visit again. Read more
