We decided to give the Islander a go as we were in the mood for some bar food and saw a Groupon for it.The decor was inviting... and fresh, if a tad dimly lit. Our waitress was kind, personable and attentive, even though she was tending bar as well. Thechef/runner who delivered our food seemed genuinely interested in whether we enjoyed it/had everything we needed. However, thebest thing about the Islander Bar and Grill was the food. Easily some of the best bar food I've ever had, we tried the chickentenders (appetizer), spinach and artichoke dip (appetizer), cheeseburger with bacon and a seafood flatbread. The tenders wereHUGE and perfectly breaded and fried, the spinach and artichoke dip was tasty and well-proportioned. My wife's burger wasexcellent even without condiments, the beef was juicy and the bun seared to perfection. The bacon was really thick and tasty,I'd definitely recommend adding bacon to your burger. The seafood flatbread was also very good, with plenty of shrimp, scallopsand lobster meat topping a well-seasoned, cheesy crust. The only thing we weren't impressed by was the tortilla chips that camewith the spinach dip. A minor complaint, for sure. Altogether, we both agreed we would absolutely come back to the Islanderwith or without a groupon in the future. 5/5 Read more

This place is a Great bar with great food and awesome waitresses and kitchen staff. Been here a few times since coming to... america and I have a nice time here every time and been made to feel very welcome. Also They do a great Long Island ice tea. Read more

Love this place!! Food is very good. Miss when they had daily specials and sad they took a few of our favorites off the menu,... but otherwise above average! The staff are all wonderful!! Sat at the bar for 10 full minutes while two bartenders talked and laughed with each other and ignored us. Place was not busy. ... Plenty of bars in town with much better service. Do not recommend. Read more

Enjoyed karaoke night with friends. Food and drinks was good and reasonable price. Great service

The food here was amazing definitely delicious but lemme tell you, the service was absolute dog water. If you're not sitting at... the bar forget it. Waitress came up one time and we got one drink even though we were going to order a lot more. It was veryobvious we weren't wanted there for whatever reason.
