I ordered a shrimp fried rice the first time I ate here. It was delicious! The rice was fresh and the food was hotI. The rice... wasn't dark at all. I think the order taker remembers phone numbers; the second time the rice was dark....I thought well maybesomeone else was the chef today. I ordered a third time. They got my order completely wrong and I went back for the correctedorder. Yesterday was my last time ordering from this restaurant. The shrimp fried rice looked like something they scraped offthe plates of others then served it to us for take out. The rice was dark like soy sauce had been on it. (I tend to eat itwithout the extra salt). The shrimp was gummy (really overcooked and curled so tight it could bounce on the ground); the soybeans were very shriveled!...and to make things worst...I mean really bad...the whole thing was dry as a bone (how is that evenpossible). Not edible at all. I wouldn't suggest eating here more than once. You will enjoy it the first time....but they areparticular about the customers they want to serve. On a good note, they might make you feel welcome, while they MESS over youand your money. Sincerely, Chasing a Ghost Read more

Been driving past Wah Fu's for years, so I finally decided to stop and try it. I have mixed feelings about it. I ordered the... Chicken with Broccoli dinner combination to go - there were lots of other vegetables in it which was not expected, and it wasmade in a white sauce which was also not expected. The listing under "combinations" didn't mention other vegetables, but Ichecked the detailed menu at home and the listing on a different page under Poultry Dishes did. Luckily none of them werepeppers or I would have had to drive back and return it (I'm allergic to peppers). The chicken was ok, the white sauce wasactually good, the broccoli was very mushy but tasted ok, the snow peas were so mushy they were unpleasant to eat so I justthrew them away (and there were alot of them - more than the broccoli), the baby corn was good, and the water chestnuts weregood. I liked the fried rice and the egg roll. But the dinner didn't seem to be Wok cooked like other Chinese takeout, myorder came so fast and was so hot that it seems like it was microwaved (except for the rice and eggroll). I'm not sure if Iwill stop here again but if I do I will have to be very careful to ask about ingredients. Read more

Wah Fu was a pleasant surprise. In the Middlebury plaza, next to Bagley grill, this little gem is just that; a find. Thanks to... the very thoughtful chef/owner who accommodated me about half an hour before closing. I got to it quickly! Ordered the freshest, most flavorful wonton soup I have ever had! Next up the Szechuan Gia Kew. Wow! This spicy chicken stir fry was amazing. Thechicken was so fresh and tender! I can actually imagine it walking about hours before! So well balanced with flavor and theappropriate balance of spice and flavor. The best thing, you can ask the chef to hold the msg. Overall, very satisfying! I willfind my way back. Read more

No msg here (per request), what a difference in taste compared to other American Chinese cuisine. Good selections available... too. I would definitely give it a try. First time here and decided on take away vs dine in. Place was packed! Pot stickers arethe best I have had very savory flavor. Egg drop soup was delicious, and the beef with pea pods very good. Veg lo mein alsovery tasty, the bbq ribs had a unique flavor (one I have not had before). Read more
