This is certainly my favorite pizza . I find the Middlebury location to be closest to the original that I remember from back in... the 70's. As a kid we lived in Wolcott and would get a pie every Friday from the Wolcott St location in Waterbury when it wasjust called Domenick's. For some reason, the Waterbury location now isn't very consistent with the flavor of the sauce, it iseither more acidic or they just use more sauce than Middlebury and it is always way more charred, sometimes too dry of crust,maybe they are compensating for the dryness by adding more sauce?? Not sure. I'm not sure why but having the crews weighing andportioning consistently as well as maintaining the correct temperatures could be monitored better in Waterbury IMO. It is stillgood, but improvements could be made to make all of the restaurants equal since ordering online could send you to Waterbury ifyou are closer. My wife and I have been noticing quite the difference in flavor, hardness and sour/acidity lately, within thelast year I'd say, but Middlebury is pumping out pies to me that don't ever make it to the next day because they are that damntasty! This is the ONLY pizza that's literally taken me aback with how good it was (the hotlips, specifically). I live near New Haven,... so I've had whatever anyone else thinks is "the best" pizza (it's not), and can tell you with certainty that this is as good asit gets. Read more
First time trying this location tonight for cheese pizza half pepperoni. All I can say is AMAZING. Found my forever pizza place.
Quaint pizza parlor, clean and friendly atmosphere. We dined in and ordered a large half pepperoni. The crust was thin and well... done. The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. My only negative is I felt the sauce was rather bland. Other than that the cheesewas top quality and overall I highly recommend it. Read more
I love all their pizzas but the buffalo chicken is sooo good. I love how they don't use marinara on it like other places. They... also don't add any blue cheese and instead will give you some on the side which is awesome because blue cheese is the worstcheese known to man. I also got a kick out of people complaining that they use paper to wrap the pizzas instead of boxes. Ifthat's your complaint, you really need to reevaluate your life. Read more
My co worker ordered the hot lips pie today, it looked absolutely amazing, I was lucky enough to get a slice, I first said oh... the sauce is sweet untill I got the details. Wow! What a great spin and the flavor and presentation amazing! I can't believeI've never been, I will asap! Try their pies! These reviews should all be 5 stars! Thank you for doing what you do guys. Been getting their pizza weekly for a few years now. The pizza is delicious. Been very unhappy the last few times l got pizza... however. They messed up my order three times in three weeks. I hate to do it but seriously thinking of going elsewhere if theycontinue to mess up my orders. Read more
