Great tasting Italian ice and Gelati! Polite staff! Clean premises!

So Rita?s is? ehhh okay. It?s definitely over commercialized in my opinion. The pricing is disgusting to see. To purchase two... small Italian ices it cost me almost $12!! Personally I was shocked when I saw that, especially after going to a bakery inHartford where I was able to purchase 2 small Italian ices as well as a large all for about $6!! They claim it?s custard. But it is clearly not. It tastes just like McDonalds. The Italian ices were not made from real fruit.... It was all synthetic. It?s not bad. But if you are looking for authentic custard and Italian ices these are not it. Read more

The manager on duty last night, I forget her name, she had pink highlights in her hair. I want to make sure she knows that her... kindness doesn?t go unnoticed. She was so open to listening to my food allergies and make me feel so safe. I have been to somany different places that aren?t accommodating to my allergies and it was so refreshing to be in an establishment that providedsupport. I was with my friend and she was making sure that we both were having an enjoyable time as well. I live a half houraway, and would drive there every day if I had the luxury too. My little family always enjoys going to Rita's for an italian ice flight! The frozen custard is equally as awesome (try the... brownie sundae with the twist custard ????) there is no hot food served like burgers, fries, etc. But they honestly dont needit, cause the dessert menu will make you forget about dinner and skipping to dessert lol Read more

We had such a great experience at Rita's in Middlebury! They gave our Great Dane a pup cup and made our daughters icecream extra... special. The two girls working were very sweet & professional. We will definitely make this a weekly family treat! Read more
