On 9/29/22 in the evening, I ordered truffle fries to-go. I waited around 30 minutes for my order when the restaurant was not... busy at all — there were only two other people. When the food finally came, it was not in a to-go container. Further, it wascompletely cold. I think that my server had forgotten about my order. She also had an attitude and was not friendly at all. My family has been coming up for over 50 years. The inn is not at all up to it's original standards. Ribs were tasty but not... cooked long enough, chicken was well seasoned but dry, medium rare burger came out well done, and lobster mac and cheese hadthree bites of lobster in a pound of mac and cheese. The new england clam chowder was not at all the original and the clams werehard and chewy. Our plates did not get takin away until after we paid the bill. Very Disappointing. Read more

I guess underwhelmed is the word to describe our experience. We were expecting more of an experience from such a historic place.... The crab cakes (appetizer) were small, dry and hidden under wilted lettuce. We each ordered the halibut for the main courseand it was very over done. I got the sense they were under-staffed, and I get it, all restaurants are in this economic climate,but it isn't fair to the patron to still get charged very high prices. Read more

I made a 10 am reservation. Be forewarned. They blamed me for having made a reservation and the hostess made a BIG deal about... serving me because apparently breakfast is over at 10. They need to fix their system if they close at 10 and not be rude topeople who just wanted to have a nice breakfast. Read more

We went for a celebration lunch! We were a bit concerned since they stopped service at 2 and it was 1:40 but they sat us and... made us feel welcome! Both of us ordered the specials -Philly Cheese Steak & Fish Tacos! Food was delicious. Unfortunately had the worst experience here. Our waitress, Terri, was very kind and hospitable. Can’t say anything negative... about the service. However, can’t say anything good about the food experience. My friend and I ordered a cup of soup that cameout looking like unappetizing baby food, and was completely cold. Great meal at Morgan’s Tavern! We saw the Very positive TripAdvisor reviews and were very happy with both the service and the... meals. Almost all menu items are locally sourced and the Sunrise Burger with onion rings was delicious. Cooked perfectly with agreat crust and flavor. Definitely worth the time to find and enjoy a meal. My wife had a turkey reuben with freshly made sweetpotato fries and that was also great. The fries has the perfect mix of crunch and softness to let the sweet potato flavor comethrough. Read more
