Great views of the course and surrounding countryside. Nice CT craft beer selection. -1 star cuz my turkey panini reminded me of... a gas station pre-wrapped sandwich. And it was on a ciabatta roll, what the heck? Paninis are supposed to be served hot andpressed. But the rest of our food was fine. Read more
8/2/22 First time dining here, and it won’t be the last. Being a restaurant that primarily caters to the Lyman’s Golf... Course crowd, it’s understandably located alongside their clubhouse in a relatively obscure location. I’m having lunch herewith an old buddy and I checked Yelp to find a place more or less midway between our homes. The 1741 Pub fit the bill. Uponentering I was greeted by a sweet young woman that let me pick the table I liked. I found one that had very nice viewsoverlooking not only the golf course, but had a commanding view of the surrounding countryside on this beautiful early Augustday. Lunch was with my old friend Ron D., today and he selected a Caesar Salad with grilled chicken that looked very fresh andcrisp (bothe the salad & the chicken LOL). He said it was very good. I started with a bowl of their chili that came with niceslices of fresh Jalapeño peppers, a good helping of melted cheddar cheese, & a big dollop of sour cream. I put the pepperslices off to the side because I’m just not crazy about ‘em. The chili however was a much larger portion than I expected andwas really good. Thick and meaty with just the right proportion of beans. When our server placed the bowl in front of me I said,“I don’t think I needed to order a burger too”! It was excellent chili. My cheeseburger was a solid 1/2 pound and cookedjust as I prefer them, pink in the middle. A great lunch with a great guy, with spot on service from our adorable server.We’ll be back for certain. This is the first time I've been to the he 1741 Pub. Our server was very friendly, and the food was good. The space was very... difficult. All of the tables filled shortly after we arrived and it was impossible to hear my dining companion. I imagine itwould be better sitting outside. Read more

Stopped in based on Google reviews. Totally didn't disappoint!! Brussels Sprouts were amazing. I got the chicken tenders... which were hand breaded and delicious. Burger was incredible my husband said. Salads were good too. Read more
Communicated with the restaurant prior to arrival and received prompt responses. My family and I opted to dine inside because of... the heat and bugs. As others have stated the views and sunset were absolutely stunning. We ordered the Salmon Cesar Salad,Burger and Lobster Roll. They were all delicious, but my only complaint was that our order took way too long. Our server didcome over to apologize and explain that it got busy outside under the tent. Overall, I would probably return if in the area. Read more
The food was okay, but overpriced for what you actually get on a paper plate. Also had to wait to be seated for 15 minutes after... our reservation. Our waitress was nice enough and that's the only reason for the three stars. Won't be coming back here any timesoon. Read more
