What a beautiful evening! The staff was courteous, the drinks were good, and the food was *amazing.* We went to The Filling... Station on a busy Friday with our 9 month old and it couldn?t have been nicer. The fried chicken sandwich was awesome and wedidn?t order the sushi but it looked fresh and delicious. Anna was a superstar and took great care of us. We had the Ruben and Burger that were both outstanding. Having a Heady Topper... was heavenly. I?ve seen other reviews about slow service, which we did not experience. Keep in mind that getting staff afterCOVID has been difficult and places are rebuilding. The Filling Station made us feel special and took amazing care of us. If Ilived nearby, this would be a regular hangout spot. Read more
Tried out the Filling Station for the first time yesterday after hearing through the grapevine about their great burgers and... sushi. Unfortunately, after the service and food quality we experienced there, it will definitely not be the preferred choicefor the future. We ordered and paid online for a Pickle Brine Chicken Sandwich, the Dalrymple Burger, a Rainbow roll and awaffle dessert. When I arrived I walked up to the clearly marked take-out pickup window and waited for several minutes, but noone came to assist me. So instead I walked inside to the host stand where someone finally met me after a couple more minutes andthen sent me BACK out to the window to be helped. After going back out to the window she said my order was ready, they were juststill waiting on the waffle. I then had to wait for another TEN minutes until the waffle was finally ready. Once we goteverything home, we were even less impressed with the food than with the service. The Rainbow roll looked like something thatyou would get at Shaw's and tasted about the same. For a whopping $19, I was expecting much better quality. The waffle was alsovery dry and not at all worth the $8 cost. The Dalrymple was a greasy, soggy mess and the bottom bun completely stuck to thebottom of the container it was put into. There was no wax paper or anything separating the burger from the togo container. Ialso paid extra for the duck fat fries that were also very soggy and mushy. For a total of $22 for the burger & fires, I was notimpressed at all. The saving grace was the Pickle Brine Chicken Sandwich my girlfriend had which was actually very good. Thechicken was crispy and it was cooked well. All in all, for a grand total of over $70 (not even including tip) I was hugelydisappointed. Filling Station definitely gets a plus for the convenient location, as there isn?t really anything else around for sit down... dining without driving into Montpelier or Waterbury. The food has been pretty good on a few visits although a bit on the priceyside, although the menu could use a few more vegetarian options for part of our group. A recurring issue, however, has been slowservice, as in taking the drink and food orders quickly and getting them back to the table efficiently - it?s Vermont, if youorder a beer, it should be out in the amount of time it takes to walk to the bar and back. Customers should never bewondering?.Last visit was quite hungry at lunch but the waitress apologized for forgetting about the table despite seating itherself. Sat there for 20+ minutes sans food or even a drink before she came back and apologized (which was appropriate ; butWasready to order something at seating but she ran off without asking) A previous dinner visit had run out of drinks but no onecame to check on table prior to food delivery. Understand restaurants are struggling with staffing but seems like there could bemore coordination among employees. One time a manager (?) was sitting in the middle of the restaurant running numbers on hiscomputer while place filled up and wait staff was overwhelmed. So, some improvement or a visit from Jon Taffer could help. Wouldlike to revisit and up rating in future, as I mentioned the food was good when it arrived. Read more
Came at the recommendation of our Airbnb host, sorta unsure what to expect. All of the food was absolutely amazing, staff were... friendly, and the decor was fantastic. We came early November, which is clearly not their prime - this place is probably beston a warm summer day with those garage doors open. Read more

Great little spot, easy to misjudge by the exterior. Would love to see them build a nice outdoor patio area on the side with as... good of an ambiance as the interior. I got the chicken sandwich which was good, although I?m not the biggest chicken fan so I?msure it?s great if you love breaded chicken. Will def try one of the burgers next time. Drinks were great. The Filling Station is a great new casual dining option. The menu offers a wide variety and features a lot of vegetarian items.... Loved the Spicy Yam Wedges and the Station Salad. There are many sushi options. Service was excellent. Enjoyed sittingoutside. Read more
