Ancho and Agave is a great spot for Mexican food in the Madison area! The free chips and salsa are a great way to start a meal,... and the portions are very generous. I could have easily gotten two meals out of my enchilada dinner, and it was really good. Thefood is well made and flavored, and wasn't overly spicy or too bland. The service was prompt and friendly, and I enjoyed my timeoverall. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the Madison area looking for a good Mexican sit down restaurant. Read more
Absolutely amazing restaurant! Upon dining in, we got chips and salsa which were delicious and the chips were still hot from the... frier! The sangria was spectacular and the four tacos I got were delicious and unique. The server was relatively aware of whatwas gluten free and I had no reaction afterwards! Read more
We were able to be seated at the bar right away. The bartender was a busy guy as the bar was full but still was able to make his... rounds. The coconut shrimp was by far some of the best. But the street tacos weren't our best that we have had but they werestill good. The drinks were good. And good company around the bar. Read more
Lovely spot for dinner! Went out with a couple friends and enjoyed the food and restaurant. We grabbed the Mexican street corn... as an appetizer which was great. We got two portions for four people which was perfect. Chips and salsa were also brought to thetable. Along with this they brought out water and a pitcher of water right away. I had the carnitas enchiladas which Idevoured. So tasty. Great place for a date night or get together. Read more
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! The food was so delicious and the staff was friendly and took very good... care of us! We had to wait a few minutes but went to the bar and got some drinks. The margaritas were fantastic! I got theshrimp quesadilla, which was the absolute best quesadilla I have ever had!! My fiance got 4 different tacos and loved them all,I don't remember which ones specifically but he actually ate them all. Overall amazing experience and we definitely will makethat our favorite spot to eat and drink! Read more
Unique menu that is well priced. If you are looking for an upgrade from typical Mexican fare, this is the place. Very nice... aesthetics, clean and nicely decorated. I highly recommend the queso dip. Read more
The menu is amazing here, so many choices. I decided on the taco salad. I was not very impressed with it. There was too much... cheese ( I know that seems odd to say in Wisconsin) but it was all cold shredded cheese, there were also too many olives sohonestly I just tasted mostly cold shredded cheese and olives. My sangria that I got was very good. The service was fine, Iunderstand with staffing issues and how busy the place was the waiter was doing his best. I would go again and try the tacosbecause I hear those are amazing. Read more
