I've dined several times at Capt Bill's over the years and have never had a bad experience.....the service and food has been... spot-on every time. Best clam chowder and coconut shrimp you will ever have. Even the baked potatoes and steamed veggies aregreat! Read more

The best thing about this place is the portion size: you'll get enough to be full, but not so much that you'll need a doggy bag.... Otherwise, the views are mostly good, though there are a few tables that can't see the lake. It's not a great place to takeyounger kids though, since the bathrooms are tiny and the space relatively tight. It's not cheap either; kids meals are 7.50 andfairly basic. Also, even though the portion size are good, it's expensive for what you get. It would be nice if wait staff knewthe menu a little better (our waitress didn't know what was in the crab cakes). Pretty much exactly what you would expect from a generic seafood restaurant. Steak, lobster, fried shrimp, fish. The clam... chowder was good. The food was above average. The staff seemed frazzled. We had a reservation, but were told we would have towait with the rest of the people who just showed up. They said the wait would be 45 minutes after our reservation time. Thehostess told us that she want allowed to give estimated wait times, only the manager could do that. Thankfully, their estimatewas way longer than reality. It was fine, but I don't need to go back.
