We stopped in for happy hour. The Gamblers Old Fashioned is amazing. We had the Spicy Shrimp and Tuna Stack appetizers then we... ordered a second Spicy Shrimp. Service was a bit lacking even considering that it was somewhat busy. Read more
This really is a 5-star restaurant! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The sides are portioned to feed two people... easily. My walleye was cooked perfectly. My husband's steak was the best he's ever had. The waitress paired a beautiful wine forour meal. Ate as much as we could and boxed up the rest plus dessert to go. Had a great evening out celebrating my wife's birthday. Dani was an effervescent and attentive bartender. We ate at the bar and... started with the Osso Bucco Ravioli and split a chopped salad which they served in two individual portions. Dani shakes a meanmartini that was an excellent start. We each had a wine and filet pairing. My wife had the Rose and fillet with a bleu cheesecrust. I had the cabernet and filet with 3 gulf shrimp topping it. Fillets were soooooo tender and delicious. We shared theloaded hash browns alongside the fillets. They gave us a birthday treat - a small cheesecake with berries and a little vanillaice cream with mint - so nice. Read more
What can be said that hasn't already been said about Ruth's Chris? The food here is always excellent. My steaks have always been... cooked perfectly. It is not very daring or creative cuisine. The atmosphere is wonderfully comforting but again not very exoticor inspiring. It is exactly what it says on the label. The absolute finest quality steakhouse there is in Madison. Nothing moreand nothing less. Read more
