This is one of my new favorite sushi places in madison. First off, the atmosphere in the restaurant is great. Gives that hip... kinda vibe you want in a sushi restaurant without being overdone. My partner and I went around lunch time and were disappointed with our meal. He ordered a noodle soup, which had toppings like ... broccoli, mini corn, chicken, and tofu. He found that all elements of the soup were overcooked, so the texture was really off.He didn't eat much of his meal outside of the rice. My chicken katsu was alright, but quite bland. The chicken itself seemedcompletely unseasoned. The accompanying sauce helped add flavor, but was rather pungent. The restaurant's atmosphere was nice,at least, but it was unsurprisingly empty. WOW. Why doesn't this place have five stars across the board?? We got takeout last night, and it couldn't have been better. We... got a couple orders of the Vegetable Deluxe, which I think is an order for two, and I was really knocked out by the quality.Every vegetable was treated differently. There was pickled daikon, there was some tempura, and some things I'll be honest Ican't identify. The seaweed was also delicious. Family loved the smoked salmon. Everything tasted amazing! Full order was readyin 45 minutes, and on a busy Saturday night with a lot of orders, we were very impressed with the quality. Staff was veryattentive and continued to update us in our order.
