This is one of my new favorite sushi places in madison. First off, the atmosphere in the restaurant is great. Gives that hip... kinda vibe you want in a sushi restaurant without being overdone. My partner and I went around lunch time and were disappointed with our meal. He ordered a noodle soup, which had toppings like ... broccoli, mini corn, chicken, and tofu. He found that all elements of the soup were overcooked, so the texture was really off.He didn't eat much of his meal outside of the rice. My chicken katsu was alright, but quite bland. The chicken itself seemedcompletely unseasoned. The accompanying sauce helped add flavor, but was rather pungent. The restaurant's atmosphere was nice,at least, but it was unsurprisingly empty. WOW. Why doesn't this place have five stars across the board?? We got takeout last night, and it couldn't have been better. We... got a couple orders of the Vegetable Deluxe, which I think is an order for two, and I was really knocked out by the quality.Every vegetable was treated differently. There was pickled daikon, there was some tempura, and some things I'll be honest Ican't identify. The seaweed was also delicious. Family loved the smoked salmon. Everything tasted amazing! Full order was readyin 45 minutes, and on a busy Saturday night with a lot of orders, we were very impressed with the quality. Staff was veryattentive and continued to update us in our order. EatStreet tracked the order perfectly and it came out the moment it wassupposed to. Best vegan sushi I've had in town and I want to eat here every weekend! Read more

We ordered the $50 omakase sushi and two pieces of sushi a la carte. The miso soup that came with it was good. A little more... tofu would have been nice. I was surprised how long it took for the sushi to come on a not very busy Friday night for dine-in.I suppose they had a lot of take out orders or something. The sushi platter was also fine. Nothing too exciting here. The fishwas fresh enough but left juice on the plate which wasn't the most appetizing. The mixture of sashimi and sushi was good. Iwould have liked a roll without cream cheese, though. Cream cheese doesn't really scream omakase in my mind so I wouldn't havethought to say I didn't want it. Regardless, it was still good. Some small negative things we experienced. The dish for soysauce was dirty when it was served. It looked like cream cheese or something. And then a fruit fly landed in our soy sauce.Speaking of bugs, the windowsill was full of dead ones. Our wobbly table was supported by napkins. We were told 30 minutes afterordering that they didn't have sea urchin. It would have been nice to know sooner. In all, this meal was fine. We liked itenough but feels like the attention to detail is kind of lacking for the dine-in experience. We would probably just get take outnext time. Read more
Only tried rolls, and they were fine. Rice was good but ratio of fish was smaller than average compared to amount of other... ingredients. I also observed that they did not make online pick up orders until each person arrived and asked about it - eventhough they were not busy in the restaurant. Read more
