The oxtail taste like ketchup. Rice and vegetables were delicious. But the Oxtail could use some more efforts to get that Island... authentic taste that we know oxtails to be. The protein should be the star of the dish not the sides. Read more

I ordered the lunch special with chicken curry. It was fantastic-the rice and beans were well seasoned and moist, the... vegetables were well cooked and not mushy, and the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. For five dollars, it was an incrediblevalue. I was also happy they had Ting (it's an uncommon soda, and very authentically jamaican.) The staff was friendly andhelpful as well. Read more

I ordered take out from here and when I opened the box at home the smell was disgusting. Food was at least a day old, and very... "sour" (I didn't realize the microwave sounds I heard in the store was my food!). I had to throw it out because just the smellmade me sick. When I called them about it they would not refund my card. Food is never good. Beef patty meat was cold, did not smell right, soup was luke warm, they keep food uncovered in the front of... the store which is not clean, food is not hot when served. This is my second time Getting food from here and the first time wasthe exact same experience, I thought give it another try and it did not work out..... Sets a bad reputation for jamaican food.Need to be more clean, orderly and cover there food with covers . Wasted money will not be returning. They Should get inspectedfor proper sanitation and keeping of hot food. Food needs to be held at a certain temperature within a facility that sells Food-people can get sick.... horrible. Read more

Went to get food with high hopes I orderd curry goat with rice and beans and a fried chicken thigh the woman behind the counter... kept asking me questions but the television was so loud i couldn't hear anything she was asking me. She puts the bag of food onthe counter with no utensils to eat the food with. I got in the car and opened the foam container the food smelled amazing andtasted really good but as i ate the incredibly small portion of goat keep in mind i spent $13 on the plate. I bite into anextremely sharp bone and i realize that there is not a single peice of meat on the bones and to my suprise there was no curry onthe rice. Fried chicken was cold and dry. Read more

Tried this place twice. First time service was mediocre. Staff were slightly unpleasant. Food was decent. 2nd time, food was not... fresh. I ordered brown stew chicken. The pieces of meat I received contained several small, sharp bones, the meat portion itselfwas pretty small. There were, however big pieces of fatty meat and skin that looked like pork fat mixed in with the chicken. Therice also tasted old. There definitely won?t be a third visit for me. Read more

Loving Caribbean food as we do, we had to try out Caribbean Flavaz since they just opened recently. We tried their jerk chicken... and ox tail meals. They both came with rice and peas and cabbage (no plantains unfortunately). The chicken was tasty, but wasmore like a BBQ chicken with no jerk flavor. The ox tail wasn't very saucy, but it was still tender and good. We also got someroti, which was good. We'll definitely be back, especially since they'll be serving ackee and saltfish for breakfast in thefuture. Read more
