Service was great! Just very disappointed in the chicken wings - fresh and made to order, but I could tell the sauces and blue... cheese were ordered in from somewhere else and honestly tasted like Baby Ray's sauce (I got mango habernero and honey mustard).La Boca's wings would be great if they made their wing sauces in house and had less flavors (around 40 flavors is overwhelming)?Also, the water cup my daughter was given had dust on the inside of it. If I could give a separate rating for food and service I would give the food a 4 star and the service 1. Just popped in to kill... time while my house was being shown. I've yet to find good mexican food out here in the north east. I was so pleasantlysurprised I had the street tacos excellent! Unfortunately the service really disappointed. It's a shame,not greeted uponarrival, waited at the bar far too long to be noticed, never asked how my meal was and last but not least walked out the doorpast the host and was totally ignored. A thanks for coming or how was your meal? Would have been nice. I really wanted toexpress how much I enjoyed my food but no one cared. Read more
Great and fun experience! We went for the drag show and got good seats at the bar. The show was soo funny and the Queens were... amazing. They really made us feel welcomed there. The staff at the bar, though polite and respectful, were a bit cold andunfriendly. We would go again as the entertainment was worth it! Read more
Really great bar area. Not crazy about the restaurant section. The trivia nights on Tuesday are excellent. The guy that runs... trivia, Matt, is really good at questions that you can discuss and figure out the answer. I've been to bar trivia all over theworld and La Boca is still my favorite. Read more
The staff were very attentive and pleasant. I would however give much more credence to the negative reviews here than the... positive ones. There was a musty smell - I attributed to it just being a historical building, but still off-putting. Food wasextraordinarily disappointing - crab fritter tacos were greasy, corn taco shells not heated. Street tacos were OK, same problemwith corn tortillas. Margarita was watery and without any real flavor - was said to be the worst ever. Spanish rice had severalpieces that were undercooked or left in a pan too long. Nice atmosphere, but seems more like a bar that wants to be a restaurantrather than a restaurant with a bar. Owner/management needs to do a reset and really evaluate acceptable quality. Read more
Went there mid week for food and drinks. The street tacos were good. We stayed for trivia and that was fun. Place got packed... with college kids for trivia night so get there early or standing room only . Sam was the best bartender. Read more
The food was delicious, this place is not a authentic Mexican food style they have taken Mexican dishes and added a American... style mix which gives the food unique and amazing taste.... I had 'la boca classic burrito' which was very good. It comes withcorn and fried beans I think... :) the combination of that plus the flavor of the burrito gave it an assume taste. The staffwas friendly an helpful. I would definitely be coming back to try one of their other dishes. Read more
I have been going here regularly with my husband for years, I recently have never had such bad service at the bar. We really... used to enjoy conversing with the bartenders, the past few times I have gone this month the bartenders have been ignoring us forover 10 minutes when I was just waiting for a water and beer. The guy with the pony tail that looks very underaged was alsotaking shots behind the bar and flirting with customers instead of helping us with our needs. We are extremely disappointed withhow things have changed over such a short period of time. Needless to say I will not be returning for a great while. Read more
