my sister and i used to be avid goers at this specific Puerto Vallarta location. We are from Wallingford and would make the trip... for a pitcher of mango margs and the fish tacos (which are TO DIE FOR), but our opinion changed drastically after our lastvisit. We stopped in for just a pitcher of mango margaritas and we were horrified when we got the bill. A few months ago, weused to get an order of tacos to share and a pitcher to split and would spend at least $75 after a good tip. After going intonight for just a pitcher of mango margaritas and paying $70 including the tip, we will NEVER be back. how do you raise theprice by $25 dollars in 6 months? for a pitcher of mainly juice? highly disappointed by not only the price raise, but the lackof explanation from management, and also lack of service from first sitting down. Lost 2 solid weekly customers for some extrapocket cash. Please do better, im disappointed in all of you. Go somewhere else, Los Mariachis in Wallingford has pitchers for$37 and they actually taste like tequila. You?re welcome. Puerto, do better. Read more
DO NOT have catering done by Puerto Vallarta in Middletown! I called on a Monday to place my catering order for 25-30 people on... a Saturday at 1pm. The order wasn't big or complex, simple beef & chicken tacos with the fixings. I spoke to the manageron-site that day and I thought everything was good. He didn't ask for a deposit, but takes my name and my phone number and saidit'll be ready Saturday 1pm. My sister goes to pick up the catering order only to discover the Saturday shift/crew are notaware of any catering order for Saturday. Panic mode ensues! They offer to make our order, but our party starts at 2pm. Thisis very unprofessional and that manager needs to be held accountable. Nothing could be done at the time, so we had to walkaway disappointed, but I was sure to write a review of this experience. They lost out on a $500 catering order and a frequentcustomer! I'll admit, I should've called early that day or before to confirm, but was occupied with getting the party ready. The food is great, but don't have them cater an event. My favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The decor is artistic. I like their previous chairs which had a painted headrest. Each... chair was like an art. I guess the new ones are more modern look. This was my first visit after more than a year because of theCOVID-19. The food was as good as before. Very tasty and fresh. The service was good even that was a busy night. The waiter wasfriendly and attentive. The food was in a large portion. Glad the business is back to normal. Read more
