Supposedly authentic northern Chinese food but very bland and not served with the typical sauces. The owner and manager told us... not to ask to have the spice level changed as they don't do that! They are open weekdays for breakfast with a mix of Chineseand American food. Breakfast would be better given how bland the food is. I'd rather go to restaurants that are happy toaccommodate my wishes. Read more
Wow! If you a like hot spicy dish, try the griddled fish. Besides being spicy, it was super flavorful. The beef with onions and... scallions was great also. Very happy we tried this place out. Read more
Great food! Authentic Chinese! Everything made to order. We had the crispy duck and a wonderful vegetable dish! Chinese... spinach with garlic. The Thai iced tea was delicious! You must try this place! Best, and only Authentic Chinese food north ofthe city or Jersey!!! Read more
I came with my friends a few months ago, but to this day, I still think of the meal we had and the memories we made here.... Although I?ve eaten Chinese food all my life, the dishes at Tao?s were so unique and equally delicious in their own way. I trulyhave never had a meal that was this flavorful, homey, yet addicting! I am really happy to have found this place. It was very authentic and definitely didn?t have the Chinese takeout feel that most... Middletown Chinese restaurants have. Everyone eating here tonight was Chinese, always a good sign, and the menu had a lot ofgreat and authentic options. The prices are reasonably set and the service was fast and very friendly. We got the pork chivedumplings (fantastic!), the ground beef tofu dish (I can?t remember what it was called on the menu- it was good), the sesamechicken (good but I?ll get something else next time!) and the water spinach (a great side!). Looking forward to coming back andtrying the hot pot which you have to reserve two hours in advance. Read more
Certainly best and most authentic Chinese restaurant in the area. Perhaps one of the best in lower Hudson. We live close to NYC... and have access to countless Asian restaurants, but are so impressed that we always stop by here whenever we are in the region. Read more
Everyone have to try this restaurant out. They are the best Chinese restaurant I ever try so far. I just in love with every... single dishes that I have order. This isn?t a regular American Chinese food. This is the real authentic Chinese food. The owneris a sweet couple, only two of them working so it will take a little long for the food to come, but trust me it will be worth itthe time of waiting. We just finished a fantastic meal at this restaurant! The owners were so pleasant as they greeted and served us. The food was ... so delicious and equal in taste and authenticity to restaurants we have gone to in NYC. The portions were generous. Therestaurant was clean and welcoming.
