This place was okay. Pulled pork sandwich was great. Tons of tender juicy meat with a bbq sauce that had a good flavor. The... cornbread was fresh and warm however the rest of the sides seemed like an after thought. Max and cheese reminded me of somethingthat came frozen in a bag. The beans tasted like they were out of a fan, and the slaw didn?t have that much flavor. This place has an extremely limited menu. Came here with 3 people and between us ordered almost every option. The brisket... sandwich that I got was flat out bad. The pulled pork was on the low end of average. The bag of Lays potato chips ended upbeing the highlight of the sides... In a region full of exceptionally mediocre BBQ, this place still manages to punch in wellbelow expectations. I will not be returning. Read more
A quick drive from Miami University Regionals Middletown campus, this is my go-to lunch place. Smokey pulled pork meets a sweet... and tangy sauce. Paired with a soda and a side of delicious Mac-and-cheese ? you can?t go wrong. Ample street and parking in theback. Friendly service and a nostalgic inside decor. The local gem never fails to delight! Mouth watering aromas greet you on the street & the food backs up the anticipation once... inside. The ribs, when they don't sell out, are my go to meal. So tender & juicy they fall off the bone. I've never beendissatisfied with the mac n cheese or jalapeno cornbread either. My partner usually opts for a pulled pork sandwich with mac &chips. That's the first time I visited Combs BBQ. My wife and I went there and took our dinner home with us. That's the quickest I've... ever seen my wife eat. That was out of hunger and how much she liked it. I had the nachos with pork and it is excellent. I'lleat it again for lunch tomorrow. I mean it's two meals in one. Very good local BBQ place. Discovered it by accident and now when I need a fix, I just drive down and settle in. We had it... catered at my work and it was hot and fresh when we got it. The pulled pork is my favorite! It's an awesome, no frills littleplace that is has good service and great food. Would love it if they starting selling the BBQ sauce in jars! :) Recommend toanyone if they don't want to drive too far and want some good food. Read more
