After reading the reviews, my husband and I decided to give this place a try. Since his retirement, one of our favorite things... to do is explore local coffee shops, so we have been to many of them. The shop is a bit of the beaten path, but when we walkedin I was pleasantly surprised with how cozy and inviting the shop was. We were greeted very warmly and I immediately felt atease with the friendly welcome. We ordered off the seasonal menu. A pumpkin spice latte for me and a apple chai for my husband.I was disappointed our coffees came in styrofoam cups. I would have preferred a ceramic mug. It just adds to the experience andthe environment. My latte was just ok. However, my husband?s drink was so scalding hot, that he burnt his mouth quitebadly. An awesome family owned coffee shop with a hometown feel. The seasonal coffee selection's are amazing and highly recommended. We... got a cloud 9 and banana split and they were both fantastic. The staff was friendly and courteous. I loved the vibe of the shopand enjoyed the dog picture books for entertainment. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for something different. Average espresso, served in a Styrofoam cup. Frappuccino was slightly above average. Decent ambiance. The store is fairly nice... and clean, however, you can never tell if they're truly open or not, as they have tinted windows and no cutout for the "open"sign to shine through, so you never know till you pull into the parking lot. You'd think you could trust the hours they have onGoogle, but you never know. The guy that served us was helpful, especially to my wife, as she didn't know what she wanted toorder. His setup was definitely not efficient, as he didn't even have a card reader activated and I had to ask him if I can evenuse a card. What modern coffee shop doesn't have a Square or something similarly efficient and convenient these days? Not reallysure what I'd pay with if he didn't feel like setting it up as I don't carry cash. I went with a plain espresso, because thiswas my first time here and I wanted to judge it on something that should be of high quality in decent shops with littlevariation among various places. I asked for a ceramic cup, but they didn't have any. To me that's an automatic loss of a star -if I want an espresso, I am looking for a pure coffee flavor and don't want to taste the Styrofoam or a paper cup with that. Thequality of it (of the espresso) was average at best I'd say, it didn't have that thick espresso (almost like syrup) consistency,and instead it tasted like a really strong coffee from a drip machine. My wife's frap was decent. I think she asked for anespresso in it (they don't normally make them with espresso here). It gave it a little coffee flavor to off-set the sugarytaste of the syrups. Overall, I am slightly disappointed after reading these positive reviews. I'm probably not going to beback anytime soon. Read more
I'm updating my review and being more thorough this time. First things first the Harvest Moon frap is amazing and the Caramel... Sutra is richer and smoother than Starbucks or Dunkin. The interior give quirky coffee shop vibes and offers a very maincharacter moment with the games and different seating. (Think Gilmore Girls) I encountered a problem during a previous visit andthe owner (Erin) not only inquired about it right away but was so gracious in fixing it. That kind of dedication to customerservice is a rare find and that alone is worth putting this place on the map. It doesn't hurt that the flavors they come up withare unique and balanced. Read more
