Are you wanting a lobster roll? Then Anthony?s Anthony's Seafood is the place you want to go!! They have the freshest seafood at... a fair price. Also, Anthony's sells fresh fish to go. Came here during a weekend trip to Newport at the start of the season. Had the lobster roll which was absolutely perfect. Nice... portion of meat stuffed inside a toasted bun served with fries and a lemon wedge. Lobster was fresh and tasty would definitelyvisit again. Read more
Dropped by on my way to Newport from Boston. The place was conveniently located along the route, so we came by to check out... their fish and chips and the Rhode Island chowder. Everything seemed basic, but they were still delicious and were made with thefreshest ingredients possible. They had some local hot sauce on the table which was weirdly addictive, and we enjoyed dippingthe fish and chips in the sauce. The chowder was also a nice surprise, and I liked the clear broth which had a strong onionflavor that nicely complemented the clam bits in it. Definitely recommend trying them out for a quick bite. Overall, it was very average. We ordered whole belly clams, a lobster roll, and two clam chowders. I?ve never had fried whole... belly clams before, so it was fun to try it, although it wasn?t my favorite. The lobster roll and clam chowder were extremelyaverage. I?ve had much better of both. I?m very confused about the raving comments. If you?re in the area, go ahead and try it,but I wouldn?t go out of my way for it. Read more
