This place has amazing pizza for many, many years! I highly recommend the white pizzas such as Buffalo chicken, rosemary... chicken, steak bomb etc. they use garlic oil instead of red sauce. The crust is magnificent. It?s worth driving there from faraway because there is no good pizza places anywhere near New Bedford-Fall river area. Anytime I get to go here I am very excitedand have a hard time deciding what to get and then I am even more excited when I sink my teeth in. Read more

Good pizza and salads that are outrageously expensive. We got a 16? 3 cheese/ basil pizza and it was $27.49. To top it off, they... charge the exact same price for a specialty pizza with multiple toppings or 6 meats on it which doesn?t seem to make sense. Ishould?ve paid more attention to the prices. I ordered a medium pizza with sausage and banana peppers. It took my order over an hour to be delivered just over a half a mile.... When I opened the pizza box I had the wrong peppers on the pizza. They put on green peppers instead of banana peppers like Iordered. The only good part was the delivery driver was very courteous and apologized about the delay. Never again!!! Read more
Carmella's is the only place I have to make sure I eat at when I'm in the area. Great food, very friendly staff who seem to know... everyone who comes in. I love the atmosphere here. Delivery can take a while because you don't rush quality and the traffic onthe island can be atrocious so plan ahead. Recommend picking it up yourself or just eating there. Read more
Awesome local pizza and pasta. The angel hair spaghetti with homemade meatballs was delicious. Decent sized meatballs packed... with flavor. Homemade sauce was just right. Second time here, the pizza options are plentiful. Read more
Expensive, slow, poor quality. Stopped in lunchtime on a Saturday. Spent ~$40 for 2 Italian grinders, a chef salad ($10.50 for... the salad alone), 2 sodas, 2 chips. The chef salad had lettuce "pieces" torn it looked like (not cut by a knife) & some pieces-like in my photo posted here- were the size of my hand, no joke. There was turkey and ham lunch meat (low-grade, salty) slicedin thin strips along with the worst I've ever tasted processed white cheese (sliced in thin strips as well). I love Americancheese but this was some pretty low-grade stuff. The bathrooms dirty, ceiling tiles stained throughout. The cashier was verypleasant, though so I think it's a matter of them getting their food up to par and re-looking at what they charge for it. Couldnot believe that cost us over $40. Read more
Visited the area for a week, and the place was never open during the summer??? They might as well permanently close - or maybe... they have and just havent updated anything? Conflicting hours on the doors, on their website,, on the voice message when youcall and no one answers, on their facebook page - who knows? Maybe someone should do a wellness check on the owners - might belost at sea.. Claims to be "best" in Newport... but when you don't actual open your doors to serve food, that's a hollow claim.
