Good laws have mercy. Made reservations for date night with my girl. The food was amazing, great atmosphere, and service. The... drinks were fantastic. Apple cider mimosa, hybrid Pinot, and a Japanese whisky infused with chicory coffee from my home state ofLouisiana. (cafe du monde). Order following, ex girlfriend, Miss Saigon, and blue mango. Amazing flavors and freshness. Vegan and vegetarian friendly. Our favorites were the Super Mario roll, the Veggie Boogie roll,... sweet potato tempura and the fried tofu. The teriyaki chicken was great, the sauce especially!! Great service and minimal wait.We don't usually eat fish but the sushi bar looked great and fresh. Don't miss this place. Best place in town for sushi! The sushi is always fresh and tasty, the spicy mayo is super hot which I love. The arrangement of... the plating is very thoughtful and the extra touches really make the higher price justified. I also tried the Teriyaki GlazedChicken and wow, that was also super yummy! The service is also great, host always seats my family quickly, waiter/waitress areattentive and helpful. The first time we went, the waiter even took our food back to the kitchen to put into to-go boxes for us!That was so helpful and kind. The restaurant is very sleek and clean, a quiet atmosphere great for get togethers. I’ve gottentakeout from here, also very easy and simple to do. I just ordered online and paid, went to the restaurant and the host had mybag up front and just handed it to me. It was so efficient and quick, great for those for a shorter lunch period. It was our first time here today. The restaurant was clean and modern. The staff was professional and knowledgeable about their... food and drinks. I would highly recommend sharing the honey garlic shrimp which was a generous portion of 8-10 large shrimp thatwere tempura fried and sprinkled with black sesame seeds and a delicious honey garlic sauce. The sushi was out of this world. Wehad the Nirvana, and the Papa Crema. Both of these were filled smoked salmon, crab salad, and cream cheese. The Papa Crema wastempura fried and the Nirvana was not. Maru Sushi has always been our fav place to dine out! My husband and I celebrated my birthday there last night. We had the most... exceptional service there we've ever had! Our waiter was Jackie. Went to midland for the first time in a long time, didn't where to go to eat. After looking at the choices, we decided to go... here and I'm totally glad we did! Staff was really nice and professional! Very clean! We started with a gyoza appetizer, whichwas fried and it had great flavor and texture along with the sauce that came with it. Next I got the bulgogi bowl which had thebeef, egg and rice with vegetables and that was also really good, the flavors mixed well together. Next was the Atlantic sushi,now I'm not one for sushi or at least raw sushi. But they had the choice to cook the salmon that was on it, let me tell that itwas definitely a great choice to get this roll, tasted amazing, great texture, salmon was cooked nicely and last I got acheesecake with blueberry jam and cookie crumble crust, tasted amazing and the blueberry was sweet and tart, great combination!The only that was happened that was unfortunate was that the lady serving us spilled yum yum sauce on me but accidents happen soI wasnt bothered, but they were kind enough to give me a discount for the mishap! This was our first time here. We are new to Midland and we are THRILLED that there is a restaurant of THIS caliber. We had the... Firecracker Shrimp, Crunchy Crab Roll, Soy Joy Roll and Butterscotch Creme Brulee. The creme brulee had that perfect creamytexture, nice flake finishing salt...the butterscotch flavor was very faint...but, I'd rather have butterscotch flavorunderdone than over done ...so I wasn't sad ????
