While in Midland, I was looking for something open late at night since I was hungry, and the Maple Canadian Pub happened to be...
near me and open, so I decided to eat there.
I took a seat at the bar and since they are known in the town for making a greatBison burger, I decided to give it a try. Even though the burger was not on their late night menu, the staff and the chef werekind enough to make an exception and they decided to serve it for me. The staff there seemed to know many of the people at thebar at a personal level, which I thought was pretty cool. Some of them were regulars who lived in the area and one of them wasfrom Mississauga who comes here regularly to visit his grandparents and to get away from the city. The staff and the customershere were all very friendly and nice to talk to.
The burger was incredible. It was a 6oz Grilled Bison Burger with SmokeyCheddar, Tempura Onion, Chipotle Ketchup and Beer Mustard. Everything went well together, and it tasted extremely fresh and verylean. I really enjoyed the burger. The fries were hand cut, seasoned, and made fresh in the kitchen. It was very good. The stafftold me that this burger is one of their lighter items, which I find tough to believe, since I was quite full from eating justhalf the burger! I heard that the beef brisket is excellent here as well, so if I'm in the area, I might come back to give it atry!
