Very welcoming location, and a large patio in the shade. We started off with the Tres Grande dips and chips. Salsa, eh. Queso,... eh. Guacamole, AYYY. Might just stick with chips and guacamole next time. I tired 3 tacos so you don?t have to. They had a porktaco that was really dry. Abiding that next time. Dynamite Shrimp was delicious. This has been an excellent place to have down the street from my house. Their take-out service is great and the workers have... been so friendly to me each time. To-go margaritas have been delicious and I've liked every taco I've tried. I've enjoyed mydine-in experiences as well and look forward to coming back. Read more
The brisket and shrimp are phenomenal! We ordered the nachos with brisket and it was ridiculously huge. All the salsas were... delicious! I didn?t really like the fried chicken taco, but it didn?t matter because all the other tacos were so dam-good. Theservice was extremely fast and friendly! Read more
Although the location and the actual set up of this place is pretty nice, for 6 Tacos and an order of Nachos, the over $60 bill... wouldn't have been too bad, considering the taco flavors and options aren't necessarily traditional, the service itself is whatreally stood out for us. We waited in line looking at the menu and while there were 2 registers present, only one cashier wasworking. The other register had a young lady standing behind it doing what we assumed was some type of work related task. After the first cashier finished with the customer in front of us, she simply walked off and we were left browsing the menu alittle too extensively. When I finally asked out loud if we were asked to wait or is the young lady at the other registerworking, the young lady asked us if we were through looking at the menu, instead of asking as soon as the other girl steppedaway. I ordered a Margarita that they did not have the ingredients available for as the bartender had to explain AFTER thepurchase. With the exception of the very accommodating bartender and the kitchen staff, most of the other employees appeared tobe a little lost. We were not greeted, asked if we needed further assistance, explained the menu (each taco described is ONESINGLE TACO btw), provided with suggestions, nothing. I think retraining the staff to be way more welcoming, observant andwilling to accommodate would be a great idea. Would return for the Margarita and very neat patio set up with misters, but notfor the food which is way overpriced and a little bland on the flavor, plus they do appear to skimp on the taco fillings aswell. I entered the front door at 7:12 PM, placed my order at 7:36 PM, and received my food at 8:18 PM. Unacceptable, especially... considering last time I came here they sent everyone away stating there would be a 40-50 minute wait for orders to start cookingbecause ?there?s only one cook.? (?) The food was 3/5 unmemorable. This Fuzzy?s knock-off ranks right below the Moe?s Burritosin the truck stop on Garden City Highway when it comes to Mexican food in Midland. Rusty Tacos is a great addition to the Midland food scene. The food was good, the restaurant has a great vibe, and the... margaritas were tasty. We sat on the patio at the bar which was comfortable in the shade with all the fans/misters. It was verybusy, but the staff that helped us were all very nice. We tried 7 tacos and enjoyed all of them. 10/10 would recommend theTropical Shrimp! Glad to have Rusty Tacos here in Midland! Read more
Food was just ok. Nachos were the highlight. Fried chicken tacos meh. This establishment does not feel well-managed. Cashier was... young and the family in front of us had someone cut in front of us. Cashier let them do a second order. Then another two peoplecame up from outside straight to front and cashier let this family place a third order while the line started to pile up. Wewaited 20 minutes while one family placed multiple orders. A second worker occasionally came up to second cash register and dida few things to it but never opened it up to alleviate the line. Service was not friendly. There were no lids for the regularsized cups. Flies in the restaurant. I don't think we will return for awhile. Read more
Give your taste buds a treat and eat at Rusty Taco in Midland, TX. We ate the Brisket Breakfast Tacos and came back for... dinner for the Tropical Shrimp Tacos and both times we left happy. , The food was great with many varieties of tacos, nachos,and other items to please everyone. The margaritas, especially the Pineapple Habanero Margarita were excellent YUM! There wasplenty of room to watch the games, though we just chilled with family on the patio.
