Not sure what to call this place... hidden gem? Diamond in the rough? Whatever you call it, the sushi here is awesome. Usually... come for lunch and order the sashimi combo. The miso is good well seasoned, and the the side salad with ginger dressing is alsogood compared to other sushi restaurants. Where Katana shines is the quality and portions for their sashimi and nigiri. Writingthis review makes me want to go back! Read more

Even though they?re under staffed, oh my gosh? everyone was very very polite! Sushi is really good not a lot of rice! They mix... the black and white rice in their sushi and it?s supposed to be very helpful digestion-wise. I like how they?re playing studiogibli songs and I love that! The desserts isn?t too sweet it?s very refreshing! Place is well designed :) I will definitely becoming back here! Read more

Great sushi and they have daily specias for nigiri like chu and o-toro. Purple rice gives the rolls a unique look, apparently... it?s better for you and doesn?t impact the taste. Highly recommended! Read more

Not only is this my favorite place for sushi in Virginia; the quality, taste, and freshness of the sushi here rivals the best... I've had in Southern California and Hawaii. This place is a gem of a joint! The staff was welcoming and attentive, the ambianceis cozy and authentic, and I found their prices to be incredibly reasonable for such high quality. Don't pass up their sunomono. It really stands out from the crowd. I'm so happy to have finally found my sushi spot! Read more

Spent $10 on one little piece of wagyu. That wagyu carried me through a plane of nonexistence. Time frozen. Noise eliminated.... Sight blurred. What am I feeling? I don't know. Is this real wagyu? I don't know. Am I real? I don't know. Existenti-- waitnothing is in my mouth anymore. I hear ambient chatter fading back in. I sense grainy chopsticks in my hands. Is that someone istalking to me? Lobster roll and shumai are so and so. Limited number of tables. I say just a tad bit bigger than a smallrestaurant. Pricey for sure but it's not your grocery store sushi. Read more

Everything was good, especially the salmon belly. I am only taking a star off because this place is very pricey and as much as I... love sushi, I can't keep going to a place that costs 30-40% more than my usual spots in town. Read more

We have been going to Katana for years for their delicious sushi! It is the best that I've ever had and I have tried many of the... sushi restaurants in the area. The staff is extremely friendly and conscientious of their customers. The owners know us andtreat us like family every time we come in. You won't find a better sushi restaurant in the area and you won't be disappointed.Highly recommended!!! Read more
